Abstract: Disclosed is a method of registering users in a software system for participation in a multi-user activity. The method involves receiving authentication information for a first user from a client device, and authenticating the first user based on the authentication information. In response to successful authentication of the first user, a user group associated with the first user is identified, the user group comprising a plurality of further users. User identifiers for the further users are transmitted to the client device. A selection of one or more of the further users is then received from the client device, and the one or more selected further users are registered within the software system as participants in the multi-user activity.

Abstract: A network apparatus and method are described in which a request for content from a user device is redirected based on a profile of the user of the user device. For example, an apparatus is disclosed, which may provide a server for use in a network. This apparatus comprises a data store configured to store a plurality of webpage identifiers each identifying a different webpage of a set of webpages; a communication interface configured to receive a request for content to be provided at a user device; and a controller configured to: determine a user identifier of a user of the user device based on the received request; obtain a user profile based on the user identifier; select one of the stored webpage identifiers based on the user profile and a direction model; and redirect the request according to the selected webpage identifier.

Abstract: A system and method for providing customized content using emotional preference is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system comprises a web analytics server, at least one website server and at least one user device all communicating through a network. The web analytics server collects a user's emotional preference and monitors a user's activity on a website. In one embodiment, the system further comprises an advertisement server that customizes advertisement using the information provided. In another embodiment, the system further comprises a recommendation engine and a product provider server. The recommendation engine recommends products from the product provider server and provides a link such that the user can purchase the product online.

Abstract: A moving picture processing apparatus comprises an image capture unit for taking in time-series images (moving picture series) of a target object, a feature point extraction unit for extracting feature points constituting the surface of the object whose model is to be made, a three-dimensional position information extraction unit for finding three-dimensional position information on the feature points by correlating the feature points contained in the image at a point in time with those at another point in time in the time-series images and analyzing positional coordinate information on the correlated feature points, a three-dimensional patch group generating unit for generating three-dimensional patch groups constituting the surface of the target object on the basis of the feature points for which the three-dimensional position information has been found and supplying the three-dimensional patch groups as information on a model of the target object to an output section.
