  • Patent number: 11221097
Abstract: A device for arresting a shock wave in a fluid in a pipe assembly. The device includes a base, body, and piston. The base has a connector portion with a first opening into an interior. The connector portion is configured to be coupled to the pipe assembly and allow the fluid to flow into the interior through the first opening. The body has an open end opposite a closed end and a channel that extends from the open end into the closed end. The open end is positioned inside a second opening into the interior of the base. Together the base and body form a housing in which the piston is positioned. The piston is slidable within the housing from a resting position to a compressing position when the shock wave travels through the pipe assembly. The piston compresses a gas inside the housing when in the compressing position.

  • Patent number: 11143334
Abstract: An escutcheon mountable on a pipe having compression ferrule thereon, having a body with an annular body wall and an inner body sidewall portion defining a body opening, and an insert having an annular insert wall portion, an outer insert sidewall portion extending about the annular insert wall portion and sized to fit within the central body opening with the outer insert sidewall portion, and a plurality of inwardly extending members. The members being resiliently bendable between a first position with the inward free-end portions being in gripping contact with the pipe and a second position with the inward free-end portions defining a central insert opening sized to permit the insert to pass by the ferrule on the pipe as the escutcheon is pressed onto the pipe and then return to the first position.

  • Publication number: 20210080039
Abstract: A plumbing fitting couplable with a free-end portion of a pipe. The fitting has a chamber with an opening, and an end bushing with an interior opening sized to receive the pipe free-end portion. An inward seal and gripper ring within the chamber seal with and releasably grip the pipe free-end portion. An anti-intrusion outward seal is positionable within the end bushing interior opening in fluid-tight engagement with an end bushing interior wall portion and the free-end portion of the pipe when positioned within the end bushing interior opening to prevent contaminants reaching an interior portion of the chamber containing the gripper ring and inward seal.

  • Patent number: 10865923
Abstract: A plumbing fitting couplable with a free-end portion of a pipe. The fitting has a chamber with an opening and an interior chamber wall with a circumferentially extending chamber groove, and an end bushing with an interior opening sized to receive the pipe free-end portion and an exterior wall portion having an outwardly projecting, circumferentially extending locking member within the chamber groove to resist movement of the end bushing out of the first chamber opening. A seal and gripper ring within the chamber seal with and releasably grip the pipe free-end portion. The end bushing interior opening has an end bushing interior wall portion sized to be engaged by the free-end portion of the pipe when within the end bushing interior opening to resist disengagement of the locking member from the chamber groove while the free-end portion of the pipe is within the end bushing interior opening.
