  • Patent number: 7391287
Abstract: The invention proposes an H-plane filter with inductive irises which exhibits a quasi-elliptic response while retaining the same compactness as a filter having a Chebyshev response. The invention furthermore makes it possible to use a large number of transmission zeros. For this purpose, there is proposed a waveguide filter comprising at least one cavity delimited by at least two inductive irises. The filter furthermore comprises at least one floating insert 1 placed in one of the inductive irises. • Patent number: 7355496
Abstract: The present invention relates to a FINLINE type microwave band-pass filter comprising a waveguide provided with an insulating substrate placed in an E plane of the guide and comprising on at least one of the surfaces, conductive inserts electrically connected to the internal surfaces of the guide which support the substrate and which determine by their dimensions and their positioning on the substrate a Chebyshev type filter response curve. The filter includes at least one cavity in perpendicular short circuit to the substrate, the positioning and the dimensions of the cavity determining a transmission zero on the filter response curve for attenuating the frequencies situated around this zero. Such a filter is used in particular in transmission terminals operating in the Ka band.

  • Patent number: 7292123
Abstract: The invention relates to RF bandpass filters with pseudo-elliptic response. In a filter comprising a dielectric substrate placed in E position in a rectangular waveguide and comprising inserts on one of the surfaces of the substrate are placed conductors linked electrically to the walls of the guide, and on the other surface of the substrate opposite these conducting inserts are placed electrically floating inserts that make it possible to determine zeros in the transmission curve of the filter. This yields a filter exhibiting a response curve of pseudo-elliptic type which improves the rejection of spurious frequencies without increasing the dimensions of the filter.

  • Publication number: 20050243902
Abstract: The invention relates to VHF adapters for cable networks of the ODU type. It consists in using two conversion chains, up and down, in which a very stable signal reference oscillator drives means of generating the VHF and IF local frequencies common to these two conversion chains. A very selective surface wave filter makes it possible to rject the frequency of the local oscillator at the level of the first intermediate frequency. It makes it possible to obtain a DOCSIS compatible millimeter MWS ODU whose frequency stability and spectral purity satisfy the constraints of the cable standard without undertaking spectral inversion of the signals transmitted and received.

  • Publication number: 20040183627
Abstract: The invention provides a particularly compact waveguide-type filter that can be easily adapted to a microstrip circuit. The waveguide filter comprises at least three mutually coupled resonant cavities 14 to 19. The filter is coupled to a microstrip circuit placed on a substrate 10. At least one cavity 14, 15, 18 and 19 lies on one side of the substrate 10 and at least one other cavity 16, 17 lies on the other side of the substrate 10. The cavities distributed on either side of the substrate have the effect of greatly reducing the size of the filter. The invention also relates to an outdoor transmission unit that includes the said filter.
