  • Publication number: 20060006777
Abstract: A backlight assembly has an improvement on the structure for eliminating the gap between a light guide plate and a light source. The improvement includes a flexible printed circuit consisting of a body and a mount portion at each of its two ends. The mount portion has a substantially V-arm with a coupling hole. A mold frame has two couplers at its front surface and close to the coupling holes of the flexible printed circuit. The distance between the two coupling holes is substantially smaller than the distance between the couplers for generating deformation force. Consequently, when the two couplers are engaged with the coupling holes, the light source will be attached close to the light incident edge of the light guide plate, thereby eliminating the gap between the light guide plate and the light source.

  • Publication number: 20040189588
Abstract: A back light module for providing a full-color surface light source. The back light module comprises a surface light source, a light-shielding matrix and a fluorescent layer. The light-shielding matrix is formed on the surface of the surface light source. The light-shielding layer has a plurality of lattice points that exposes the surface of the surface light source. The fluorescent layer is formed inside the lattice points. Through the fluorescent layer, light emitted from the surface light source is able to produce full coloration. A liquid crystal display comprises the back light module and a liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel comprises an array substrate, an opposite substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The opposite substrate is positioned over the array substrate and the liquid crystal layer is sandwiched between the array substrate and the opposite substrate. • Publication number: 20040190308
Abstract: A backlight module, at least includes an outer frame, a bottom frame, an upper frame, a reflector and a light source. The upper frame and the bottom frame are mounted within the outer frame and are movably coupled to each other. The upper frame is disposed above the bottom frame and the bottom frame can be separated from the outer frame when the backlight module is inverted. The reflector is disposed under the upper frame and on the bottom frame and the reflector can be removed after the bottom frame is separated from the outer frame. The light source disposed under the upper frame and above the reflector and the light source can be changed after the reflector is removed. This invention provides a backlight module enabling users to directly exchange the light source by just simply taking out the bottom frame and the reflector sequentially. By this, the damage of the display panel, the multilayer optical film and the light guide plate caused by hitting and scratching during the exchanging process is prevented.
