  • Patent number: 6522095
Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock including a diode for operating an electric motor drive in one direction of drive rotation. To minimize the electric motor turning back against the direction of drive rotation in the off state, the diode is connected in parallel to the electric motor drive which provides essentially for short circuiting of the electric motor drive when it turns back. In this way, rebound of the electric motor drive is prevented or reduced.

  • Patent number: 6520550
Abstract: A motor vehicle lock with lock elements, such as a rotary latch (2) and a detent pawl (3), and with a lock mechanism for controlled actuation of the detent pawl (3). The lock mechanism has a detent pawl lever (5), an inside actuation lever (7), a coupling lever (9) which couples the inside actuation lever (7) to the detent pawl lever (5) or decouples from it, and a central interlock lever (11). The central interlock lever (11), on the one hand, can be moved by a central interlock drive into the released position and the locked position, and on the other hand, can be mechanically moved out of the locked position into the release position by actuating the inside actuation lever. The coupling lever (9) can be moved via the anti-theft lever (12) into the coupling position and the decoupling anti-theft position. The pivot axis (8) of the coupling lever (9) is arranged on the inside actuation lever (7), at a distance from the pivot axis (8) of the inside actuation lever (7), and is not mounted on the lock housing.

  • Publication number: 20010050511
Abstract: An electric motor actuator for a motor vehicle lock, with a reversible drive motor, an actuator drive which can be rotary driven by the drive motor. The actuator further includes an operating lever which is dynamically coupled to the actuator drive for switching the lock into an “unlocked” and “locked” operating state, an antitheft lever which is spring-loaded with a pretensioning spring and which is dynamically coupled to the actuator drive for holding the operating lever in the “locked” operating state. An emergency actuating element is used for manually engaging an antitheft lever into an “antitheft off” operating state to overcome a catch element on the actuator drive.

  • Publication number: 20010048227
Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock with a drive mechanism and an assigned actuating element for moving a detent pawl, the drive mechanism being coupled to the detent pawl via a coupling mechanism. Good functionality and high fault tolerance are achieved by the coupling mechanism being coupled only when the inside handle and/or the outside handle assigned to the motor vehicle door lock is actuated.

  • Patent number: 6278252
Abstract: An electric motor-driven servo-drive for a motor vehicle lock in which, instead of an AND gate implemented using circuitry with two switches, a mechanical AND gate using an actuating element (10) or a magnetic sensor is used with a single switch.

  • Patent number: 6208103
Abstract: An electric motor-operated actuator for a motor vehicle lock is provided which permits manual activation in a very wide range of operation. The actuator includes a control crank formed by an outer and an inner guide cam which, over a considerable angular range, have a radial distance from one another which corresponds roughly to the radial distance from an inner stop and an outer stop to allow free manual switching of the control lever between two operating states. The guide cams which form the control crank have radii which change only in a relatively small angular range for purposes of displacement of the control lever, and therefore have a relatively large rise. Preferably, the actuator is overall self-locking.

  • Patent number: 6114821
Abstract: An electric motor-driven servo-drive for a motor vehicle lock, with an electric drive motor (1), with a servo-drive disk (3) or other servo-drive element which is driven by the electric drive motor (1), with an operating lever (4) which can be moved back and forth by the servo-drive element (3) between at least two operating positions (I, II) or another mechanical switching element, and with an electric motor control (6) with which the electric drive motor (1) can be turned on and in a predetermined free position (X) of the servo-drive element (3) and with simultaneous occurrence of the operating position (I) of the switching element (4) can be turned off, especially short circuited, there being an electrical or electronic switch (7) and its being connected to the electric motor control (6) and the switch (7) automatically assuming a first position ("0") and influenced by the influencing element a second position ("1").
