Patent number: 11115094Abstract: An electronic device is able to be embedded in a mobile device with a plurality of antennas. The antennas are electrically coupled to the electronic device through a connector. The electronic device includes a plurality of built-in antennas, a communication processor, a plurality of antenna switching circuits, and a control processor. The built-in antennas receive a wireless mobile communication signal. The communication processor calculates the reception strength of the wireless signal received by each of the built-in antennas or each of the antennas. Each of the antenna switching circuits is electrically coupled to one of the built-in antennas or one of the antennas according to a control signal. The control processor correspondingly outputs the control signal according to the reception strength of the wireless signal received by the built-in antenna and the antenna.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2020Date of Patent: September 7, 2021Assignee: QUANTA COMPUTER INC.Inventors: Chee-Chun Leung, Steve Cheng, Ming-Chuan Hu, Szu-Han Chiu

Patent number: 8803809Abstract: The invention provides an optical touch device, including a main body, a keyboard and a light emitting member. The keyboard, placed on the main body and having a first end portion and a second end portion, includes a supporting frame, a keycap and a stopping member. The keycap is connected to the supporting frame and moves between a first position and a second position. The stopping member is connected to the keycap and moves simultaneously with the keycap. The light emitting member generates a light beam to the keyboard. When the keycap is in the first position, the light beam passes through the first end portion to the second end portion, and when the keycap is in the second position, the light beam is terminated by the stopping member, such that the light does not reach the second end portion.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2013Date of Patent: August 12, 2014Assignee: Quanta Computer Inc.Inventors: Chien-Ta Lin, Wen-Ji Tsai, Jung-Wen Chang, Chee-Chun Leung

Publication number: 20140078060Abstract: An input device is equipped with a cursor pointing unit including a mechanical control stick and an optical sensor. The optical sensor is mounted on the mechanical control stick and has a contact surface for sensing object motion thereon. A cursor signal is generated when the mechanical control stick is inclined by an exerted pressure. When the mechanical control stick is not inclined, a position frame of the object on the contact surface is retrieved as a reference frame. A real-time position frame of the object is retrieved when the object remains on the contact surface. A speed of the object is calculated according to the reference frame and the real-time position frame. When the speed does not exceed a threshold, a cursor position move is generated according to the speed; and when the speed exceeds the threshold, a switch signal is generated to initiate a gesture controlling mode.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2013Publication date: March 20, 2014Applicant: Quanta Computer Inc.Inventors: Chee-Chun Leung, Yun-Cheng Liu, Kuan-Chun Hsieh, Chien-Hung Lin
