  • Patent number: 10913553
Abstract: An integrated heat shield which encloses a frame structure comprises a leading edge component, a left side component, a right side component, an optionally top component, an optional bottom component and an optional trailing edge subassembly, wherein the leading edge component and the left and right side components are directly, integrally co-cured on the frame structure while in a B-stage. The leading edge component and the left and right side components are shingle laminated to form ply angles to air flow. The leading edge component and the side components are scarf-jointed or step-jointed. The side components and trailing edge subassembly are also scarf jointed or step-jointed. The co-curing as well as the scarf or step joints makes the heat shield an integrated assembly. A method of manufacturing the integrated heat shield is further introduced.

  • Patent number: 10793686
Abstract: A preparation method of vinyl ester resin for optimizing heat-release during curing includes: (A) providing a vinyl ester, a solvent and a phase change material to perform mixture; (B) performing a heating process to remove the solvent, so as to obtain a vinyl ester resin containing the phase change material. Thereby, the organic PCM material with high heat absorption and good resin affinity can be used as the temperature control agent of the vinyl ester resin during the curing process for avoiding the defects such as bubbles and cracks being generated in the vinyl ester resin.

  • Publication number: 20160178340
Abstract: A measurement and operation auxiliary device, for supporting a length measurement tool disposed on an object under test, especially when measuring dimensions of a large object under test with a large length measurement tool, includes a fastening element, a connection shaft, and a support unit. The fastening element is unfastenably coupled to the object under test. The connection shaft is disposed on the fastening element. The support unit has a receiving chamber and a through hole. The connection shaft is penetratingly disposed in the through hole to allow the support unit to be rotatably coupled to the fastening element. The receiving chamber receives the length measurement tool. With the measurement and operation auxiliary device, the bulky length measurement tool can be fixed to a location suitable for measuring the dimensions of the large object under test without another co-worker and in a convenient, labor-saving manner.

  • Patent number: 8813626
Abstract: A manufacture method of a three dimensional (3D) braided composite tube with a throat section includes: providing an assembled mandrel comprising an upper mandrel and a lower mandrel, and braiding an 3D braided inner layer on the upper mandrel; winding fiber yarns to form a fiber yarn layer over the 3D braided inner layer; tightening the 3D braided inner layer to the assembled mandrel by an appropriate tension force when winding; and infiltrating resin and increasing temperature to cure the resin for obtaining a composite tube with a narrower throat section. The present invention takes advantage of winding fiber yarn outer layer to keep the radius of the throat of the 3D braided inner layer to meet design requirement. Additionally, the hoop strength of the throat section is increased so that the metal shell can be made thinner to reduce the weight of the rocket nozzle.

  • Patent number: 8647457
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for making a rubber liner of a composite pressure vessel. At first, rubber is located in a mold. The rubber and the mold are located in a vacuum bag, heated and pressed so that the rubber is vulcanized and molded into a semi-product of the rubber liner. Sand is filled in the semi-product. The sand is tamped and heated so that it is hardened and molded. A reinforcement element in the form of a wire or tape is wound around the semi-product. Two semi-products are brought into contact with each other. An un-vulcanized rubber band is provided around and attached to the semi-products. The rubber liners and the reinforcement elements are heated and vulcanized with composite resin. Finally, the water soluble sand mold is dissolved and removed so that the final product of the rubber liner is made, and so is the composite pressure vessel.

  • Patent number: 7799160
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite container with different opening sizes, which is accomplished by winding with fibers impregnated with resin. First, fibers impregnated with resin are wound on a first substrate for winding a first container, wherein first openings are positioned at both ends of the first container. Then, cut the first container into two shells with a first opening each, and slip one of the shells on a second substrate. Next, fibers impregnated with resin is used for winding the second substrate and the shell such that the fibers impregnated with resin wound on the second substrate and the shell are combined to form a second container, where both ends of the second container are the first opening and a second opening with different opening sizes. Thereby, filament winding can be applied for manufacturing containers with different opening sizes on both ends, and the technique of manufacturing and performance of containers are enhanced.
