    Abstract: A regenerative motor control of the field reversing type includes an input amplifier, a field circuit for energizing the motor field, and an armature circuit for energizing the motor armature. An improved means for coordinating the operation of the field and armature circuit is operable in accordance with the magnitude and polarity of the field current for limiting the magnitude of the amplifier output signal and the armature current during portions of the transient period and under weak field conditions. During normal operation the armature circuit is not so restricted.
