  • Patent number: 4610582
Abstract: A roller hold down device for removable work table which has a pair of rollers which extend transversely across the workpiece mounted on the movable table so as to hold it down and with a pair of cam roller members mounted on either side of the movable table and formed with cam portions so as to engage the rollers at the end of travel so as to force the rollers up away from the workpiece and also so as to prevent the rollers from falling off of the end of the workpiece. The rollers are controlled by hydraulic cylinders which can be actuated to automatically move them to the down position and also to move them to the up position.

  • Patent number: 4557303
Abstract: A spindle shaper machine tool successively performs a plurality of operations on a work piece without removal and replacement of cutter heads on the spindle. The cutter heads are superimposed on the spindle, a fluid pressure jack quickly shifts the spindle to align a selected head with a work piece and the work piece is either manually or automatically advanced across the rotating selected tool. In the automatic shaper tool, a collar bearing stop for each cutter head is also provided on the spindle to abut the work piece or a template controlling the cutting of the work piece. The jack can be manually actuated by the operator or automatically actuated at the completion of a cutting cycle. Various combinations of cutter heads and bearing stop sets are mountable on the spindle to perform selected operations such as rough and finishing cuts, heavy-duty and light cuts, cutting and sanding, adding or modifying cuts and the like.

  • Patent number: 4038717
Abstract: A mounting structure for a wheel mounting assembly such as a caster assembly having a mounting plate. Mounting blocks of viscoelastic rubber-like material are mounted on corners of the mounting plate. Each mounting block includes flanges which define a slot in which an edge portion of the mounting plate is received. Brackets attached to a support panel of a cart or the like supported by the caster assembly hold the flanges in compression against the faces of the mounting plate and against the panel so that the panel and the cart or the like are viscoelastically supported in spaced relation to a surface on which a wheel of the assembly runs.
