    Abstract: A display has rows and columns of pixels (22). A data line (Dn) in each column provides image data signals to the pixels of that column. Each row has first and second control lines (select[m], monitor[m]) coupled to the gates of first and second respective transistors (SE, MO) in each pixel. A third transistor in each pixel serves as a drive transistor (DR) and is coupled in series with a light-emitting diode (30) between positive and ground power supply voltages (VDD, VSS). A display driver circuitry in the display characterizes each of the light-emitting diodes in a column using the data line in an adjacent column from that light-emitting diode. Each of the drive transistors in a column is characterized using the data line in that column and the data line in an adjacent column.

    Abstract: A housing structure of an information display unit includes a casing, two extensible elements and a brace. The casing has therein a receiving space. A window is disposed on a front side of the casing and is in communication with the receiving space. The top ends and bottom ends of the extensible elements are pivotally disposed at the top end of the brace and the bottom of the casing such that the brace is liftably disposed on the front side of the casing. A screen is connectedly disposed on the brace. A circuit module electrically connected to the screen is disposed in the receiving space. To repair the circuit module in the casing or the screen on the brace, a technician merely lifts the brace such that the extensible elements turn forward and then extend upward so as to support the screen, rendering the repair convenient and quick.

The integrated circuit receives a command, and performs an update on the status memory with the repair statuses specific to particular ones of the row blocks in a portion of the memory accessed by the command.     Abstract: A sensing method of a fingerprint sensor is provided. A required resolution of an identification requirement is determined; here, the identification requirement is received by the fingerprint sensor. If the number of pixels of the required resolution is less than or equal to the number of the sensing pixels, self-capacitance sensing is performed on the sensing pixels to provide a first fingerprint pattern. If the number of pixels of the required resolution is greater than the number of the sensing pixels, the self-capacitance sensing and mutual capacitance sensing are performed on the sensing pixels to provide a second fingerprint pattern.

    Abstract: An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display may have an array of organic light-emitting diode pixels that each have OLED layers interposed between a cathode and an anode. Voltage may be applied to the anode of each pixel to control the magnitude of emitted light. The conductivity of the OLED layers may allow leakage current to pass between neighboring anodes in the display. To reduce leakage current and the accompanying cross-talk in a display, the pixel definition layer may disrupt continuity of the OLED layers. The pixel definition layer may have a steep sidewall, a sidewall with an undercut, or a sidewall surface with a plurality of curves to disrupt continuity of the OLED layers. A control gate that is coupled to a bias voltage and covered by gate dielectric may be used to form an organic thin-film transistor that shuts the leakage current channel between adjacent anodes on the display.

    Abstract: A display with an array of pixels may be provided with redundant pixel control circuits. Switching circuitry may be used to couple pixel control circuits to light-emitting diodes for the pixels. The switching circuitry can be configured using control signals from non-volatile memory in decoder circuitry such as thermometer code decoder circuitry. During manufacturing, the display may be inspected for defects. Defective pixel control circuits can be replaced with redundant pixel control circuits so that the display operates satisfactory. The decoder circuitry may supply control signals to the switching circuitry to switch redundant pixel control circuitry into use while bypassing defective pixel control circuits.
