  • Patent number: 8357023
Abstract: A helicopter includes a system to effect motion in a horizontal dimension thereby to direct the desired direction. The rotor blades are driven by a rotor shaft and which is hinge mounted on this rotor shaft, such that the angle between the plane of rotation of the main rotor and the rotor shaft may vary. A control for moving the angle of incidence of at least one blade of the rotor cyclically along at least part of a 360-degree rotation path around the rotor shaft. This causes a variation in a lift force of the blade along at least part of the rotations path. This causes the body to be urged in a relatively horizontal direction from a relative position of rest. The control includes an actuator for engaging with an assembly depending from the rotor, the inter-engagement of the actuator and assembly effecting a change in the angle of incidence of at least the one blade of the rotor. The system includes a rotor, preferably complemented with a stabilizer rotor.

  • Patent number: 8075364
Abstract: A storage housing is provided for stowing a remote control toy. The housing comprises a substantially box shaped body with an interior compartment. The compartment has a platform for movement between two positions, and a door for moving between an open and closed position. There is a remote controller for operating the platform and door in a selected manner and also for operating the remote controlled toy. The housing can additionally be part of a vehicle and have wheels.

Inventors: Chi Pok Billy Wai, Kwok Leung Wong
  • Patent number: 8052500
Abstract: A remote control toy helicopter has a main rotor and an auxiliary rotor both driven by a rotor shaft. The auxiliary rotor has elongated elements at an acute angle relative to blades of the main rotor. A control system is provided that includes an actuator for engaging with a control assembly depending from the auxiliary rotor. The inter-engagement of the actuator and the control assembly effects change in the angle of incidence of the elongated elements of the auxiliary rotor. The interaction occurs when the assembly engages with the actuator by a depending arm associated with the assembly.
