  • Publication number: 20220145382
Abstract: Nicking molecules nick or cleave a polynucleotide molecule translocating through a real-time single-base-read nanopore sequencing device that achieves real-time single-base-read sequencing by probing individual bases of the polynucleotide molecule. The polynucleotide molecule is guided to enter and translocate through a nanopore of the nanopore sequencing device. A target sequence is determined for a nick or cleave, and the polynucleotide molecule is sequenced by the nanopore sequencing device. After reading the target sequence, an external excitation is applied to trigger one or more nicking molecules and thereby nick or cleave the polynucleotide at a location adjacent to the one or more nicking molecules. In the case of a requirement to further nick or cleave the same target sequence, the process is continued, and in the case of a requirement to nick or cleave another target sequence, another target sequence is determined.

  • Patent number: 7540523
Abstract: An anti-jackknifing hitch assembly (12) (“assembly”) includes a hitch (18), a tongue (20), two resilient members (22a, 22b), and a routing member (24). The hitch (18) is attached to a tow vehicle (10). The tongue (20) extends from a trailer (16) and is attached to the hitch (18). The tongue (20) pivots about a pivot axis (34) within a predetermined range of articulation (52) defined by the resilient members (22a, 22b). In particular, resilient members (22a, 22b) respectively connect end portions (36a, 36b) of hitch (18) to front corner portions (40a, 40b) of trailer (16) and are sized for preventing over-articulation. Routing member (24) assists resilient members (22a, 22b) in applying a restoring moment about the pivot axis (34). Namely, the routing member (24) extends from the hitch (18) or tongue (20) adjacent to pivoting axis (34). The routing member (24) includes attachment members (48a, 48b) with resilient members (22a, 22b) extending therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20070190977
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, computer readable media and processors may provide a secure architecture within which a client application on a wireless device may, in some aspects, exchange information securely with resident device resources, and in other aspects, with a remote server over a wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20060258342
Abstract: Apparatus and methods allowing a wireless device to utilize resources on a connectable external device may comprise installing a software component on the external device, the software component operable to enable communication between the wireless device and the desired resource on the external device. In other aspects, a wireless device resident application is operable to obtain an application install package from a remote server across a wireless network, and install, on-demand, an external device application on the external device.

  • Publication number: 20060223495
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for monitoring usage patterns of a wireless device may include a usage monitoring and reporting module operable to monitor and log usage on a wireless device based on a received usage configuration. Further, based on the usage configuration, the wireless device may forward the log to another device operable to analyze the log and generate a usage pattern report viewable by an authorized user.

  • Publication number: 20060217116
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for generating performance statistics and providing for the display of the performance statistics on the wireless device. The statistics can be generated at the wireless device or remotely, at a network device. Once the statistics are determined, they can be presented on the wireless device and can be accessible to either the user of the device and any other predetermined party. By providing for performance statistics at the wireless device, the user of the device or any other predetermined party, such as a service provider, can readily determine if a performance problem is related to the device or to the network.
