  • Patent number: 11016096
Abstract: The invention discloses a detection kit for a quaternary ammonium compound having a ?-carboxyl group. The kit includes a fluorescent compound having a fluorophore. The fluorophore of the fluorescent compound is used for forming a derivative with the ?-carboxyl group of the quaternary ammonium compound by an SN2 nucleophilic substitution reaction. The kit further includes a polar aprotic solvent used for accelerating the SN2 nucleophilic substitution reaction.

  • Patent number: 10703969
Abstract: A detection method for a quaternary ammonium compound having a ?-carboxyl group includes: mixing a sample including the quaternary ammonium compound having the ?-carboxyl group, a fluorescent compound having a fluorophore and a polar aprotic solvent to form a reaction solution. A SN2 nucleophilic substitution reaction is performed between the fluorophore of the fluorescent compound and the ?-carboxyl group of the quaternary ammonium compound to obtain a derivation solution including a derivative which is a quaternary ammonium compound with the ?-carboxyl group substituted with the fluorophore of the fluorescent compound. An extractant and a cosolvent are added to the derivation solution to form a water-in-oil emulsion which disperses in the derivation solution, followed by extracting the derivative from the derivation solution by the extractant to obtain an analytic solution, wherein a polarity of the extractant is higher than a polarity of the polar aprotic solvent.

  • Patent number: 10627406
Abstract: A method for detecting glutathione includes mixing a sample including glutathione, 9-bromomethyl acridine (Br-MA) and a derivatization solvent to form a reaction solution. A derivative reaction occurs between Br-MA and glutathione to obtain a derivatization solution including a glutathione derivative with a thiol group being substituted with a tag. Excess Br-MA is removed by adding an interference removing solvent into the derivatization solution, followed by vortexing and centrifugation to obtain an aqueous layer solution. The aqueous layer solution is used as an analytic solution, and the glutathione derivative in the analytic solution is detected to obtain a glutathione value. The present invention also provides a kit for detecting glutathione which is adapted to carry out the method for detecting glutathione.

  • Publication number: 20180088124
Abstract: The invention discloses a detection method for a quaternary ammonium compound having a ?-carboxyl group. The quaternary ammonium compound converts to a fluorophore labeled-quaternary ammonium compound; and therefore can be easily detected by reverse-phase liquid chromatography, fluorescence spectrometry or mass spectrometry. The invention also discloses a diagnostic method for carnitine deficiency which can be used to evaluate whether a suspected patient suffers from carnitine deficiency by measuring an L-carnitine amount in a sample obtained from the suspected patient utilizing said detection method. The invention further discloses a detection kit for the quaternary ammonium compound having the ?-carboxyl group which can be used for detecting the quaternary ammonium compound having the ?-carboxyl group in a sample.
