Abstract: A cover latching mechanism (100) used in a portable electronic device is described including a latching base (20), a cover member (10), a latching member (40), and a releasing member (30). The cover member has a latching protrusion (14) arranged on it. The latching member is used to latch the cover member to the latching base and defines a latch space (464) and a release space (462). The cover member can be latched to the latching base by latching the latching protrusion into the latch space, and then be released from the latching base by the releasing member engaging into the release space.

Abstract: An electronic device using a cover mechanism to cover a hole is described. The cover mechanism includes a base member, a cover member and a retaining member. The cover member is fixed with the retaining member and moves between a closed position and an opened position. In the closed position, the cover member is elastically, partially deformed to lock to the base member. In the opened position, the cover member can be elastically bent to expose the hole while still being physically attached to the base member.

Abstract: A support mechanism (20) for a portable electronic device (100) is provided. The support mechanism (20) includes two legs (22) and a connecting bracket (24). The two legs (22) is pivotally coupled to the portable electronic device (100). The connecting bracket (24) includes a resisting shoulder (242) and two support shoulder (244), an end of each support shoulder (244) is pivotally coupled with the legs (22), and another end of each support shoulder (244) is fixed with the resisting shoulder (242).

Abstract: In a method of automatically powering on and powering off a display device, the display device is switchable between a power on mode, where the display device is operable to show an image frame, and a power off mode, where the display device is unable to show an image frame. The method includes the steps of: (A) while the display device is in the power on mode, enabling the display device to detect whether there is an image signal input; and (B) in response to non-detection of the image signal input in step (A), enabling the display device to switch operation to the power off mode. The method dispenses with the need to provide a power switch button on the display device, and power consumption of the display device can be further lowered due to operation in the power off mode.

Abstract: A method for showing various color temperatures on a digital display simultaneously, which is more convenient and reduces the time users spend tuning color temperatures according to the different color temperatures shown in a video frame.
