    Abstract: A lens-fitted photographic film unit comprises a main body having a photograph-taking function and a rear cover for shielding the rear of the main body in a light-tight manner. The main body has a film supply chamber and a film take-up chamber both of which are provided with respective bottom openings. The film supply chamber is provided with a first side edge limiting plate so as partially to shield the bottom opening. The rear cover is provided with a cap for closing the bottom opening of the film supply chamber and a second side edge limiting plate. A winding shaft is engaged with a film leader of a photographic film, drawn from a photographic film cassette and positioned in a film supply chamber. Similarly, the empty photographic film cassette is positioned in a film take-up chamber.

    Abstract: A dry developer for an electrophotographic process, said dry developer being composed of a toner and a dispersion type carrier composed of a resin and a magnetic powder, wherein polyethylene having a molecular weight of not larger than 10,000, a density of at least 0.95, and an average volume diameter of not larger than 15 .mu.m is externally added to the toner or directly mixed with the developer. The dry developer shows good fluidity and cleaning property, is excellent in environmental stability and durability, and can prevent the occurrence of the toner film phenomenon on a photoreceptor or carrier surfaces.

    Abstract: A film magazine assembling system includes a plurality of two-part magazine casing assembling chucks. Each chuck is formed of a pair of chuck members the inner surfaces of which substantially form a cylindrical surface in a closed state. In an open state, one of the side edges of one of the chuck members parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical surface is spaced from the mating edge of the other chuck member. An indexing plate is rotatable about a substantially horizontal rotational axis and supports the magazine casing assembling chucks at regular angular intervals about the rotational axis so that the longitudinal axis of said cylindrical surface is held horizontal. The indexing plate is intermittently rotated by an angle equal to the angular interval, thereby successively stopping each magazine casing assembling chuck at a plurality of stations.

Both the low-molecular weight component and high-molecular weight component are made from a styrene-acrylic copolymer where the weight ratio (A) of styrene to acrylic monomer in the low-molecular weight polymer component and an the weight ratio (B) of styrene to acrylic monomer in the high-molecular weight polymer component satisfies the relationship A/B.ltoreq.1.3. The mixing ratio of the low-molecular weight and high-molecular weight components is within the range of from 80:20 to 40:60. The weight-average molecular weight (Mw) and the number-average molecular weight (Mn) of the low-molecular weight polymer component satisfies the relationship Mw/Mn.ltoreq.3.0.

    Abstract: A developer carrier is disclosed, which has a core containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder, and a surface layer thereon containing a compound having a lower critical surface tension than the binder resin. This developer when used in a magnetic brush development process provides superior charge characteristics, resistance to environmental changes, and extended life. In another aspect, the invention relates to a developer carrier produced by a process of (a) melting a carrier composition containing a binder resin, a magnetic powder and a compound having a lower critical surface tension than the binder resin, (b) spraying the molten carrier composition to form droplets, and (c) cooling the droplets with a gas stream having a temperature lower than the melting point of the composition to form substantially spherical particles having a high surface smoothness.
