  • Patent number: 9975077
Abstract: Hybrid apparatus for drying compressed gas and including an adsorption dryer with first and second columns and an outflow device for the dried gas therefrom, a first diverting device to convey the compressed gas toward and through the first and second columns, a second diverting device to convey toward a downstream connected device the compressed gas coming from the first or second column, in which is arranged the command and control device to implement an adsorption cycle and a regeneration cycle that includes, for each column, an initialization, gas exhausting, regeneration, cooling and pressurization phases, and in which the initialization phase includes the determination of an assigned time within which subsequent phases must be maintained; the regeneration phase including tapping previously heated gas from the first column and feeding it into the second. The apparatus also includes a heating device connected to the second diverting device for the regeneration phase.

  • Patent number: 9395094
Abstract: Apparatus for dehumidification of a gas flow, with an outer box and inlet port for the damp air and outlet port for dehumidified air, a first pre-cooling heat exchanger, and second heat exchanger downstream of the first exchanger and passes by a refrigerating fluid, a dampness collection chamber arranged downstream of the second exchanger; providing: a second chamber downstream of the collection chamber and connected to the outside box by the emission mouth; a third chamber not communicating to the second chamber but connected, on one side, to the conduits of the first exchanger, and on the other side connected to the outside box by a respective inlet mouth. Defining a return path from the second to the first exchanger, including a first leg passes through the collection chamber, a second leg passes through the second chamber and respective emission mouth, and a third leg passes through the third chamber.

  • Patent number: 9228768
Abstract: A method maintains, in a compressed gas dryer, working through condensation of moisture contained in the air and with dryer thermal load demands, an operation that keeps the temperature of the evaporator, near the outflow of the compressed air, in range between a value sufficiently high to avoid freezing the moisture in the compressed air and a value sufficiently low to avoid compromising the effect of moisture condensation generated by the decreased temperature. This objective is achieved with a compressor by-pass conduit on which is mounted a selectively controllable adjusting valve. The operation includes: measurement of the evaporation temperature (Tev), and verification the temperature is higher than a preset value (Set_Tev); starting the compressor; opening the valve for a preset time, and then closing it; verification that the temperature is higher than a preset value; if the time elapsed is longer than a predetermined time, then the valve is opened.

  • Publication number: 20150096880
Abstract: A device for processing a non-compressed gas stream, particularly biogas, including a heat exchanger, liquid separator particularly for water, blower to blow and transport the gas stream to the first heat exchanger and the separator, and a filter operating as a coalescence filter for filtering out volatile impurities and/or substances in the form of aerosols. The filter must operate at a temperature between 0 and 10° C. and is located downstream of the liquid separator. The first heat exchanger, the liquid separator, and the filter are contained in a single common enclosure and are integrated into the same functional structure and placed immediately adjacent to each other. The device operates continuously by controlled, automatic “oscillation” of the temperature of the cooling device connected to the heat exchanger, in which “oscillation” is controlled by continuously measuring and checking temperature at the outlet of first heat exchanger compared to a preset value.
