The border region surrounds the projection region. The grid patterns are deformed at the border region. The image capturing device captures a capturing image including an image of the projection target. The image of the projection target includes a deformation region. The processing device receives the capturing image including the image of the projection target, and determines a position of the border region according to the deformation region of the image of the projection target, and controls the projection device to project a projection image to the projection region of the projection target according to the position of the border region.

The image capturing device is used for capturing a first image of a projection surface. The first image includes a plurality of positioning images. The processor receives the first image. The processing device calculates to generate a plurality of positioning points according to the positioning images. The projection device projects a second image to the projection surface according to the positioning points. The second image includes a plurality of deformation points. An amount of the deformation points and an amount of the positioning points on the projection surface are consistent, such that the projected image is automatically adjusted to a range preset by the user.

    Abstract: A projection system including a processing device and a plurality of projectors is provided. The projectors are disposed above a projection plane or below the projection plane. The processing device determines whether the projectors are disposed above the projection plane or below the projection plane according to a firmware setting of each of the projectors. When one of the projectors disposed above the projection plane projects a projection mode determination image, the processing device analyzes captured images captured by remainders of the projectors in respective image capture areas of the projection plane to determine projection modes of the projectors. In addition, an automatic setting method is also provided. The projection system of the invention may be readily set up based on various projection requirements.

The projector includes a projection unit and an image capturing unit. The projection unit is configured to project an image frame onto a projection plane, where the image includes a grid point array. The image capturing unit is configured to capture the image frame on the projection plane according to a plurality of setting parameters, so as to obtain a plurality of captured images corresponding to the setting parameters. The processing device selects one of the captured images meeting a preset image condition as a desired captured image, and sets the image capturing unit according to a desired setting parameter. In addition, an automatic setting method is also provided. The projection system of the invention can operate without complex manual setting procedures.
