  • Publication number: 20240144430
Abstract: A computing system performs artificial-intelligence (AI) super-resolution (SR). The computing system includes multiple processors, which further includes a graphics processing unit (GPU) and an AI processing unit (APU). The computing system also includes a memory to store AI models. When detecting an indication that the loading of the GPU exceeds a threshold, the processors reduce the resolution of a video output from the GPU in response to the indication. One of the AI models is selected based on graphics scenes in the video and the respective power consumption estimates of the AI models. The processors then perform AI SR operations on the video using the selected AI model to restore the resolution of the video for display.

  • Patent number: 6922228
Abstract: A cooling device for a reflective liquid crystal image kernel has an air duct unit on the external case, which is separated into front and rear end ducts and has an axial fan blowing downward. A guide plane has both of its lateral sides aslant downward to guide part of the air flow blown from the axial fan to the split air duct of each light valve on the outer side of the air duct unit to cool the outer surface of three light valves fixed on the outer case of the kernel. The air blown downward from the axial fan passes through the front and the rear air ducts of the air duct unit directly, and passing through the ventilation holes of the external case into the optical components such that a single fan is used to enhance heat dispersion and reduce noise.

  • Patent number: 6808296
Abstract: The present invention sucks the air from the fan at the top of the imaging assembly of the optical engine and blows the air via the air duct device downward. Some of the air is guided by the diversion board, aslant guiding surface, and aslant isolating board of the air duct device and blown into the imaging assembly for cooling the optical components. Some of the air is guided through a first air duct, a second air duct, and a third air duct extended from the outside of this main body respectively to the outer surface of the light valves. Further, some of the airflow is guided into a branch air duct and blown to a vent of the imaging assembly. By means of the changing direction diversion board, the airflow is guided towards the polarizer module, and flows out from a vent on the other side.

  • Publication number: 20040150798
Abstract: A fixing structure for a light valve is installed on a projection apparatus having a container. The fixing structure comprises a connector and a circuit broad. The light valve is inserted into the connector, and the connector is fixed to the container by utilizing the fixing plates or adhesive. The printed circuit broad connects with the connector and is screwed to the projection apparatus by screwing devices. Thus, the light valve and the circuit broad have individually fixing structures. As disassembling the circuit broad for maintaining, the light valve can't be dismantled or removed. Hence, the fixing structure prevents damaging the light valve so that the projection apparatus has optimum performance.

  • Patent number: 6157949
Abstract: The present invention optimizes data placement in reference to the service of cyclic re-broadcast, typical of a media server. When the media data to be re-broadcast and the cycle of the re-broadcast are known, it is possible, according to the present invention, to calculate the portions of all the media data that will be read simultaneously and place sequentially such portions of data, so that the search time of the read/write head in the data blocks of direct access devices, such as magnetic disks, magnetic disk arrays, read-and-write optical disks, and other storage devices, can be reduced. Using the inventive data placement technology, the search time of the read/write head can be significantly reduced and the efficiency of bandwidth use can be improved, without altering typical hardware devices.
