  • Publication number: 20110216035
Abstract: A surface capacitive touch panel, a driving method thereof, a display apparatus using the same, and an electronic apparatus using the same are provided. The surface capacitive touch panel includes a substrate, a conductive film, and a plurality of driving sensing electrodes. The conductive film is formed on the substrate. The conductive film has an anisotropy of impedance to define a lower impedance direction and a higher impedance direction. The driving sensing electrodes are disposed on at least one side of the conductive film and the at least one side is substantially perpendicular to the lower impedance direction. The surface capacitive touch panel of the invention has high positioning accuracy. The touch sensing accuracy of the display apparatus and the electronic apparatus using the surface capacitive touch panel is also desirable.

  • Publication number: 20110018837
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling a touch panel are disclosed herein, the apparatus includes an object detection module and an adjusting device. The object detection module can detect a position of at least one object contacting the touch panel. A position analyzer recognizes position of the object and the adjusting device can set the touch panel to a predetermined position according to the result recognized by the position analyzer.

  • Publication number: 20110005844
Abstract: A multi-touch detecting method is adapted for detecting locations of touched points on a touch panel including first and second conductive films, and includes following steps. First measuring points of the first conductive film distributed along X-axis of a Cartesian plane are scanned, and x-components are determined accordingly. Second measuring points of the second conductive film distributed along Y-axis of the Cartesian plane are scanned, and y-components are determined accordingly. A first voltage is applied to the first conductive film, and A second voltage is applied to at least one of the second measuring points with the location on the Y-axis adjacent to or overlapping one of the y-components. Voltages at the first measuring points with the locations on the X-axis adjacent to or overlapping the x-components are measured sequentially and one of the y-components and one of the x-components are outputted.

  • Publication number: 20100245316
Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention disclose a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) having a low power consumption. Under normal operation of the LCD, a plurality of data voltages are inputted to a display panel having a constant frame rate, and an idle detecting step is performed to determine whether to change the frame rate. When a percentage of the plurality of data voltages is not varied for a specific period of time, the frame rate is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20090135207
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel and a driving circuit. The display panel has a pixel including red, green, blue, and white sub-pixels. The driving circuit receives a display signal and provides at least a first luminance weighting and a second luminance weighting of the red, green, blue, and white sub-pixels respectively. The display device selects one of the first luminance weighting and the second luminance weighting to drive the pixel according to the different operating modes of the display device.

  • Publication number: 20090109132
Abstract: A display apparatus and a method for driving a display panel thereof are provided. The display panel includes an inducing signal readout line and N gate lines, in which N is a natural number. The inducing signal readout line is coupled to a plurality of inducing circuits. Each inducing circuit is coupled to one of the gate lines, and the Nth gate line is coupled to one of the inducing circuits. In the method, several gate pulses are provided to drive the gate lines sequentially to turn on the corresponding inducing circuits, wherein at least a portion of the driving duration of a gate pulse provided to the Nth gate line is in a blanking time between two frames.

  • Publication number: 20090109127
Abstract: A three-dimensional image display device and a displaying method thereof. The display device includes a pixel array, a sub-pixel rendering device and a mask. The sub-pixel rendering device provides data signals to the sub-pixels to form the first frames and the second frames. The first frame and the second frame include a plurality of first pixel regions and a plurality of second pixel regions. The second pixel region and the adjacent first pixel regions have some sub-pixels in common. The mask projects the first frames and the second frames as a first image and a second image.
