  • Publication number: 20040139969
Abstract: A snorkel splash protector which attached at the upper end of the snorkel, the protector comprising a housing, snaps into the end of the snorkel tube, a float member and a top cover; The bottom of the housing is attached to the snorkel tube, where the upper opening, a lower opening, and a single hollow tube are assembled at the housing. The sidewall between the hollow tube and supports provides plurality of water and air inlet/outlet aperture, the middle portion opposite between supports and hollow tube formed a axial passage, within the passage, providing a float member, at the top of passage mounting a filler and further forming an opening thereof, and covered by a top cover. This assembly allows the inhaling and exhaling air goes through the hollow tubes from the top cover to the snorkel tube which allow the air from inner portion of cover go through the hollow tube then into the snorkel tube.

  • Publication number: 20040060101
Abstract: A dive mask designed as a compromise of frameless and framed designs. It employs a single frame member or support frame that is smaller and lighter than conventional frame assemblies. The support frame provides a rigid platform for the buckle assembly to be installed. Also because of the support frame, a double lens design is possible. This allows the lenses to be tilted to be closer to the eyes, increasing the field of view. The tilt of each lens is 10-20 degrees from traditional masks. The lenses are thus between 160-140 degrees apart. This improvement in lens placement yields an additional 20-40 degrees of peripheral view.
