  • Publication number: 20020010624
Abstract: An advertisement providing method is capable of providing information from an advertiser by selecting information adapting to the customer in response to a demand for information from the customer from the customer, efficiently. The method comprises checking whether a customer on access has a contract for using the information, permitting access to the information when the customer holds contract for using the information, for permitting retrieval of information registered as advertisement information by an advertiser depending upon the demand of the customer, optionally demanding additional information to the advertiser, delivering resultant information to the customer, and performing billing process for the customer and/or advertiser depending upon access record and delivery record of the customer.

  • Patent number: 6338009
Abstract: A method of, and an apparatus for, estimating frequency characteristics of a power system in accordance with the operation conditions of the power system. In the estimation of frequency characteristics, a sensitivity coefficient of power control of each generator with respect to a frequency deviation is defined as a frequency characteristic coefficient of the generator and this frequency characteristic coefficient of the generator is weighted in accordance with its rated output so as to determine a frequency characteristic coefficient of a generator group comprising a plurality of generators belonging to the power system. A frequency characteristic coefficient of a load determined separately is added to the frequency characteristic coefficient of the generator group, and estimated frequency characteristics for the supply-and-demand imbalance quantity of the power system are provided.

  • Publication number: 20010005802
Abstract: To realize the multinational energy and power interchange, understanding the characteristics and differences of energy and power system of respective countries, electric power facilities of respective countries must be totally operated thus providing economic effects such as lowering of energy charge and the stable power supply. To this end, the respective power systems of many countries and regions such as North America, Russia, China, South East Asia, Australia, South America and the like belonging to the Asian-Pacific rim which have characteristics and difference are connected by direct current interconnecting facilities or alternating power transmission facilities thus ensuring the balance of power supply and enabling the total or partial operation of the entire system.

  • Patent number: 5553003
Abstract: In a control system equipped with a plurality of subsystems and a supervising subsystem for supervising these subsystems, a subgoal achievement performance is calculated by the subsystem using its own knowledge and its own condition with respect to a subgoal defined by the supervising subsystem, and the supervising subsystem controls a control system by utilizing the knowledge and conditions of the respective subsystems by applying a subgoal execution instruction to the subsystem based upon the calculation result. Since not only the knowledge but also the condition of the subsystems, proper controls can be realized in not only such a case that the supervising goal is directed to a static temporal aspect, but also such a case that the supervising goal contains a temporal element.

  • Patent number: 5506938
Abstract: An expert system in which a plurality of knowledge descriptive layers are provided in a frame system. Each descriptive layer is composed of several frames. The frames of the lower knowledge descriptive layer correspond to the elements of a knowledge processing object system. The content of frames of the upper knowledge descriptive layers is determined as an inference made with reference to the frames of the lower layer. This determination is initiated and executed when the content of slots of the frames is updated.

  • Patent number: 5359701
Abstract: An expert system in which a plurality of knowledge descriptive layers are provided in a flame system. Each descriptive layer is composed of several flames. The flames of the lower knowledge descriptive layer correspond to the elements of a knowledge processing object system. The content of frames of the upper knowledge descriptive layers is determined as an inference made with reference to the frames of the lower layer. This determination is initiated and executed when the content of slots of the flames is updated.
