  • Patent number: 9287771
Abstract: A capacitor connected to a microcomputer voltage wiring is downsized. A series regulator on an electronic control unit for automotive includes a battery as an in-vehicle power supply, a relay, an input side capacitor, a series regulator circuit, and an output side capacitor, and is connected to a microcomputer. The series regulator circuit includes an n-channel MOSFET, a gate voltage regulator circuit as an output control circuit of an FET, and a gate voltage holding capacitor. A capacitor GND voltage (gate voltage) is adjusted by the gate voltage regulator circuit to convert an input side capacitor voltage into an output side capacitor voltage, and supply a microcomputer current to the microcomputer.

  • Publication number: 20160001716
Abstract: In a vehicle control device in which a driver circuit which does not have a computing function and a computing device communicate with each other, there is provided a technology which can efficiently diagnose that both the driver circuit and the computing device normally communicate with each other by a simple technique. The vehicle control device according to the present invention transmits diagnosis data as a control command from a computing portion to the driver circuit, and the driver circuit sends inverted diagnosis data in which the diagnosis data is bit-inverted back to the computing portion. The computing portion diagnoses whether or not the communication between the computing portion and the driver circuit is normally performed, by using the diagnosis data and the inverted diagnosis data.

  • Publication number: 20150292466
Abstract: The invention, while reducing noise, suppresses a load increase in a processor and a delay in drive control. An engine control unit includes a processor, a driving circuit including a switching element to drive a load such as a fuel injector and an ignition device, and a communication circuit that transmits control signals from the processor to the driving circuit via serial communication. The control signals each include a command frame for controlling the driving circuit and a data frame for driving the load. If a predetermined bits in each of the data frames received from the processor at predetermined time intervals are determined to be the same twice in succession, the engine control unit changes a state of a driving signal ‘Drive’ for driving the load and thereby changes an operating state of the switching element.

  • Patent number: 9160490
Abstract: By reducing the serial transmission amount of pulses between a driving IC and a control IC, the transmission times of various commands other than the transmission time of the pulses can be secured, so that the improvement of reliability and high performance of the entirety of an electronic control device can be realized. The serial transmission between the driving IC and the control IC is started at the time when the edges of the pulses are detected.

  • Publication number: 20150224946
Abstract: An in-vehicle power supply apparatus for supplying operating power to a microcomputer is configured such that the microcomputer can securely enter into a standby state in a case where a voltage supplied from an in-vehicle power source is interrupted. The in-vehicle power supply apparatus according to the invention generates a second voltage to be supplied to a control IC and the like other than the microcomputer and a third voltage to be supplied to the microcomputer, and, in a case where the second voltage is reduced, the in-vehicle power supply apparatus transmits a reset signal and bypasses the second voltage to an input of the third voltage.
