  • Patent number: 6112067
Abstract: A radio communication analyzer can test a radio device under test which corresponds to one of a plurality of types of digital communication systems in accordance with the digital communication system to which the radio device under test corresponds. The radio communication analyzer includes a modulation section, a demodulation section, a modulation/demodulation processing section, and a control section. The modulation section has a first rewritable memory, and converts modulation data indicating the contents of a first test signal to be transmitted to the radio device under test into a digital modulated signal by executing a program written in the first memory. The demodulation section has a second rewritable memory, and generates demodulated data from a second test signal received from the radio device under test by executing a program written in the second memory. The modulation/demodulation processing section has a third memory.

  • Patent number: 6046987
Abstract: In order to measure the leakage power of a communications signal using a burst signal, with respect to adjacent channels, an input signal containing a modulated signal is subjected to A/D conversion in an A/D converter 23 and then written into a waveform memory 25. The input signal read from the waveform memory is demodulated to digital data by means of a demodulating section 29. An extraction region calculating section 33 detects the position of a synchronizing word in the digital data demodulated, and determines the extraction region AR of the input signal stored in the waveform memory 25. One filter 35a or a plurality of filters 35 allow passage of the signal components in the frequency bands of the channels adjacent to the main channel. Switching sections 34 and 28 supply the signals in the extraction region determined, which are included in the input signal stored in the waveform memory 25.

  • Patent number: 5907797
Abstract: A radio communication analyzer tests the signal characteristics of a carrier, as a target signal to be tested, which has undergone quadrature modulation using a digital data signal output from a radio unit to be tested. A quadrature demodulation section performs quadrature demodulation of the target signal and outputs a baseband signal. A storage section stores the waveform data of the baseband signal. A clock synchronous detection section detects clock synchronization information contained in the target signal based on the waveform data. A demodulation section sequentially reads out the waveform data and obtains demodulated digital data in accordance with the clock synchronization information. A burst synchronous detection section generates burst synchronization information representing a burst start position of the target signal on the basis of the demodulated digital data or the waveform data.

  • Patent number: 5805644
Abstract: The invention provides a transmission timing measuring apparatus for accurately measuring the transmission timing between channels of a base station and a mobile station in, e.g., a system using a digital time-division modulation scheme in which the base station and the mobile station perform communication using different frequencies. In the transmission timing measuring apparatus of the invention, reference and measurement channel signals having different frequencies are converted into digital data by a signal processing section (20) and are selectively output. A data write section (6) temporarily stores each data in a pre-assigned memory area in a memory section (15) by using an accurate clock. A data read section (7) reads out each data from the memory area on the basis of the reference channel. A transmission timing calculating section (10) calculates the transmission timing from the time difference between symbol sequence data read out from the memory section (15).
