  • Patent number: 6565948
Abstract: A laminated ornamental glass suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The glass includes a first coating layer having a pattern of opaque regions applied to one side of the glass, a second coating layer having a pattern of white regions disposed on the pattern of opaque regions of the first coating layer, and a third oil ink coating layer with a pattern of black or grey regions disposed on the pattern of white regions of the second coating layer. The first, second and third coating layers leave transparent coating-free crevice portions between the regions thereof, wherein said coating layers permit visibility through said glass when viewed from one side of said glass, without reflection and virtual or static images, but not when viewed from an other side of said glass.

  • Patent number: 5766702
Abstract: Disclosed is an ornamental glass which can be used as decorative windows, doors, curtain walls, or the like in houses, buildings, automobiles, boats, or any living environments where division between the interior and the exterior is required. In particular, the ornamental glass features an embedded pattern designed for decorative purpose and a oneway light-transmitting quality that allows a viewer standing on the exterior side to see only the designed pattern but not the scene behind while a viewer standing on the interior side can see a translucent view of the exterior scene. The ornamental glass comprises a first sheet of transparent glass; a decorative pattern layer coated upon the first transparent glass sheet, and a second sheet of transparent glass placed upon the layer of decorative pattern.

  • Patent number: 5449426
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a process for producing a laminated ornamental glass, comprising:a) printing by a color inkjet printer an opaque, first coating layer having computer designed glazed painting or striped-figure pattern on the inner side of an outwardly facing glass substrate; by a color inkjet printer connected to a computer with a program of the design of said painting or pattern stored therein;b) coating a second, white paint coating layer and a third, black or grey oil ink coating layer in turn over the first coating layer by conventional spray coating or roll coating method; after dried,c) engraving in an array or net figures selected from the group consisting of circles, tetragons, and hexagons on said coating layers by a laser engraving machine connected to said computer with a program of the design of said figures stored therein, leaving transparent coating-free crevice portions between said opaque patterned coating portions; andd) laminating with adhesive an inwa

  • Patent number: 5370913
Abstract: A laminated ornamental glass article has two transparent glass substrates and three coating layers of opaque figures and crevices between the two transparent glass substrates. This allows a person at one side of the glass article to see through the glass article an object at the opposite side of the glass article, while another person on the opposite side may only see the opaque figures on the glass article. The three coating layers include a glaze figure layer, a white paint layer and a dark, ink layer. Each layer has the same figure patterns and the same crevices, the crevices being adapted to be filled with an adhesive material for bonding the two transparent glass substrates.

  • Patent number: 5275869
Abstract: The present invention provides a heat ray (infrared) reflecting glass structure of the type composed of two sheets of transparent plate glass substrates with same size, wherein a metal or metallic oxide heat ray reflecting material coating layer with desired color is coated on the inner surface of the outdoor-facing plate glass substrate, and a black or gray printing ink coating layer having orderly intercrossing stripes or net configuration composed of circle or hexagon patterns is further coated or printed on said metal or metallic oxide coating layer; then said outdoor-facing plate glass substrate and the other plate glass substrate are laminated with an intermediate adhesive layer to become a laminate structure which renders most sunlight reflected and only a portion of it will pass through the crevices without reflecting material and printing ink coating into indoor and is characterized in high heat insulation, high luminosity, no duplicated virtual image or no distorted static image.
