Abstract: An optical module includes an optical modulator that performs optical modulation of transmission data, an optical modulator controller that controls the optical modulator, a memory that stores corresponding relationships between temperatures and set data with which modulation of the optical modulator is to be performed at an operating point voltage, a temperature sensor that measures a temperature in the optical module; and a setting circuit that refers the memory and searches for set data corresponding to measured temperature, and set the set data to the optical modulator controller.

Abstract: A judgment apparatus includes a storage configured to store first reference data representing data that a detector should output in a first area when a detection target passed the first area, and second reference data representing data that the detector should output in the first area when the detection target passed a second area being different from the first area; and a processor to perform processes of: obtaining data from the detector outputting, in a time-series manner, data according to a detection condition of the detection target passing the first area or the second area; judging a degree of similarity between data obtained by the obtaining and the first and second reference data stored in the storage; and judging whether or not the detection target passed the first area, based on the judgment result by the judging the degree of similarity.

Abstract: A method of transferring data from a source device to a destination device via a source-control device connected to the source device and a destination-control device connected to the destination device includes the steps of transmitting a data-transfer-request signal from the source device to the source-control device, transmitting a data-transfer-acknowledge signal from the source-control device to the source device in response to the data-transfer-request signal, and transmitting a data-transfer-request signal from the source-control device to the destination-control device concurrently with the transmission of the data-transfer-acknowledge signal.

Abstract: A transmission line rerouting method includes the steps of selecting a predetermined trunk transmission line to be rerouted, from trunk transmission lines, coupling a first subscriber line accommodating apparatus which is coupled to the predetermined trunk transmission line and a second subscriber line accommodating apparatus which is coupled to a trunk transmission line other than the predetermined trunk transmission line, via a rerouting transmission line, and transmitting and receiving a data which is to be exchanged between the first subscriber line accommodating apparatus and the trunk transmission line accommodating apparatus, via the second subscriber line accommodating apparatus and the trunk transmission line other than the predetermined trunk transmission line.
