  • Publication number: 20120184194
Abstract: The present invention relates to a CMP polishing pad and to a method for manufacturing same. The CMP polishing pad is manufactured by means of a method in which a light-absorbing material is dispersed in or on the surface of the pad, and a laser beam is absorbed by the light-absorbing material to form holes, wherein the diameter of the holes is determined by the wavelength of the laser beam. The CMP polishing pad of the present invention has holes formed therein by absorbing laser light with light-absorbing material dispersed on the surface of or in the CMP polishing pad, and laser beams of various wavelengths can be effectively absorbed in accordance with the type of light-absorbing material, such that holes having a desired diameter can be formed in the CMP polishing pad, thereby enabling the low-cost manufacture of a CMP polishing pad with excellent polishing characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20120178349
Abstract: The present invention relates to a CMP polishing pad and to a method for manufacturing same, characterized in that a light-absorbing material for forming pores is dispersed in the pad. Pores formed in the CMP polishing pad of the present invention are formed by means of the breakdown of the light-absorbing material which absorbs a laser beam irradiated on the polishing pad, enabling the pore size to be controlled by controlling the amount of the light-absorbing material, the intensity of the laser beam, etc., and enabling pore distribution to be freely controlled through the computer numerical control (CNC) technique. Accordingly, a CMP polishing pad can be provided that exhibits the highest polishing effectiveness in accordance with the material to be polished or the type of slurry.

  • Patent number: 8126146
Abstract: A cryptography method using a quantum phenomenon, which performs a multi-staged polarization process between a transmitter and a receiver to prevent a third party from knowing the polarization value of a photon. A transmitter rotates a photon flux by arbitrary angle ? and transmits it to a receiver. The receiver rotates the received photon flux by arbitrary angle ? and transmits it to the transmitter. The transmitter rotates the received photon flux by the reverse angle ?? of an angle, by which the transmitter 10 rotated it, then rotates it by polarization corresponding to an information bit, and transmits it to the receiver which rotates the received photon flux by the reverse angle ?? of an angle, and measures the polarization of the photon flux corresponding to the information bit, and recovers the information bit transmitted by the transmitter. Cryptography information may be transmitted using a plurality of photon fluxes.

  • Patent number: 7319710
Abstract: The present invention relates to a microdisk laser with a unidirectional generation property, and more particularly, to a microdisk laser designed in the form of a triangle, wherein the incident angles of portions of a laser beam at two upper sides of the triangle are greater than a critical angle to cause total reflection, so that the laser beam generates with directionality toward the base of the triangle. To this end, in the microdisk laser with the unidirectional generation property, the laser takes the shape of a triangle with two upper sides and the base and the two upper sides have their lengths greater than or equal to that of the base. Respective vertexes of the triangle or some of the vertexes are curved, and incident angles of portions of a laser beam at the two upper sides of the triangle are greater than a critical angle to cause total reflection, so that the laser beam generates with directionality toward the base of the triangle.

  • Patent number: 6049614
Abstract: A synchronized chaotic system and a communication system using the synchronized chaotic system is disclosed. The synchronized chaotic system comprises a master chaotic part and a slave chaotic part, and a first synchronizing part connected to the master chaotic part and a second synchronizing part connected to the slave chaotic part. The first and second synchronizing parts preform operational functions to synchronize a chaotic signal output of the master chaotic part with a chaotic signal output of the slave chaotic part. Each of the first and second synchronizing parts includes a first scaler, a subtracter, a second scaler, and an adder. Each output of the adder is fed back to the main and slave chaotic parts. The synchronization occurs when the synchronized system consisting of the variable differences of the master and the slave chaotic parts generates infinite period of laminar phase which is connected with on-off intermittency.
