    Abstract: A Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation apparatus and a positioning method thereof are provided. The GPS navigation apparatus includes a GPS module and a data processing unit. When the GPS module enters into an operation mode from a standby mode, the GPS module starts to output a positioning data. The data processing unit calculates a present position according to the positioning data from the GPS module after a predetermined time interval since the GPS module enters into the operation mode, so as to reduce a positioning error.
