  • Patent number: 7616194
Abstract: A key lock means set on a tablet personal computer and application method of the same are provided, wherein the key lock means comprises a graphic input device, a typing input device, and means for signal associating. The graphic input device is used for generating and transmitting a first signal to an operating system of the tablet computer. The typing input device is used for generating and transmitting a second signal to the operating system of the tablet computer. The means for signal associating is used for monitoring and controlling the transmitting process of the first and second signals. When the first signal is detected, the means for signal associating can prevent the typing input device from transmitting the second signal into the operating system of the tablet personal computer.

  • Publication number: 20080316082
Abstract: A remote control system including a remote controller and a computer system are provided. The computer system includes a remote control signal receiver, an image capturing device, a storage device and a processor. The remote controller outputs a remote control signal in response to a user's operation. When the remote controller is moved from steady state, the remote controller outputs the remote control signal as a motion detecting signal to the remote control signal receiver. The processor determines whether the remote control signal is a motion detecting signal. If the remote control signal is a motion detecting signal, the processor controls the image capturing device to capture an image of the user and stores the image into the storage device as a reference image and a set of personal setting data corresponding to the user's operation behavior. The processor loads the personal setting data for providing an application program accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20080260215
Abstract: The invention discloses a fingerprint identification system including a communication network, a finger-scanning device and a server. The finger-scanning device includes a fingerprint sensor and a transmitting module. The fingerprint sensor is used for scanning a fingerprint, so as to generate a plurality of fingerprint image sections. The transmitting module is used for transmitting each of the fingerprint image sections through the communication network instantly when the fingerprint image section is generated. The server is used for receiving the fingerprint image sections from the communication network, reproducing the fingerprint, and performing identification according to the fingerprint.

  • Patent number: 7428646
Abstract: A wireless control system for a computer with a processing system includes a power supply, a microprocessor, a wireless control portion and a signal transceiver. The power supply converts an external power into a power for the computer. The microprocessor connects the power supply to control the power supply. The wireless control portion includes a plurality of operation keys to generate different signals and a power source to supply the wireless control portion. The signal transceiver connects to the microprocessor and the processing system. The signal transceiver receives and decodes the signals from the wireless operation portion, and transmits the decoded signals to the microprocessor and the processing system. The wireless control portion triggers the microprocessor to determine whether the power supply provides the power for the processing system.

  • Publication number: 20080160936
Abstract: A computer apparatus comprises a CPU, power supply unit, and low power-consuming detection device for wireless transmission ability. The power supply unit supplies a detection-device power as a detection event is triggered ; and a system power to the CPU as a power-on event is triggered. The detection device detects transmission ability of wireless communication connection of the computer apparatus in response to the detection device power. The detection device comprises a signal processing unit, an embedded low-power processor and a display unit. The signal processing unit receives a RF signal via the wireless communication connection and demodulating the RF signal to generate transmission data. The embedded low-power processor calculates dynamic data amount information, dynamic data flux information or dynamic transmission quality information of the wireless communication connection in response to the transmission data. The display unit is for displaying the above information.

  • Patent number: 7340222
Abstract: A method for implementing a wireless radio frequency (RF) module on a motherboard is described. First, the whole wireless RF module is formed on a daughter board, and at least one through hole is formed at or near the edge of the daughter board. Finally, the daughter board is mounted in the motherboard by a method such as surface mount design (SMD), and the through hole is filled with a conductive material to connect circuits on the daughter board and the motherboard to each other.
