  • Patent number: 9251563
Abstract: A method for adjusting images displayed on discrete screens of an electronic device is provided. The discrete screens, comprising two displaying areas separated by a non-displaying area, cooperate to display an object. Image data of the two displaying areas is obtained. Whether there is at least one line segment which is parallel to a middle line of the non-displaying area, continuous and longer than a predetermined length is determined in each displaying area respectively. A line segment of the at least one line segment that is closest to the middle line is defined as a base line in each displaying area respectively. A displaying position of the object is adjusted according to distances between base lines and edges of the displaying areas.

  • Patent number: 8818469
Abstract: A portable electronic device includes superposed base and sliding housings, a pair of guide units and a pair of slide rails that cooperate with each other to permit sliding movement of the sliding housing relative to the base housing along a sliding direction between closed and open positions, and a pair of correction mechanisms respectively adjacent to the slide rails and each including at least two push-back members. When the slide rails deviate from the sliding direction, the push-back members can push back the slide rails to a position parallel to the sliding direction so that the slide rails can slide smoothly relative to the guide units.

  • Patent number: 8699223
Abstract: A two-way latch mechanism includes a hook disposed inside a host for engaging with a first hole on a panel and for engaging with a second hole on the panel after the panel rotates relative to the host at 180 degrees. The two-way latch mechanism further includes an actuating component. Two pushing portions are respectively disposed on two sides of the actuating component. One of the pushing portions slides at a first direction for separating the hook from the first hole, and the other slides at the first direction for separating the hook from the second hole. The two-way latch mechanism further includes two elastic components for respectively providing elastic forces on the actuating component, so as to hold the actuating component at a predetermined position stably.

  • Patent number: 8355250
Abstract: A latch mechanism includes a first housing, a second housing, at least one guiding column, a hook whereon a fourth hole is formed, a fastening component, a latching component, and a first magnetic component for attracting the hook when a display pivots close to a host, so that the hook slides on the guiding column in a first direction to pass through the second housing, the fastening component, and the first housing. The first magnetic component drives the latching component to slide in a second direction simultaneously, so that an end of the latching component is inserted into the fourth hole on the hook, for fixing the display and the host. The latch mechanism further includes a pushing component for separating the latching component from the fourth hole on the hook when being pushed in a direction opposite to the second direction.
