Abstract: A method for making a seat pad includes the steps of: providing a mold having a mold cavity; disposing a first leather sheet in the mold cavity in the mold; filling a thermoplastic resin material into the mold cavity; curing the thermoplastic resin material and molding an assembly of the thermoplastic resin material and the first leather sheet so as to form the thermoplastic resin material into a rigid resin layer bonded to the first leather sheet; removing the assembly of the rigid resin layer and the first leather sheet from the mold; and adhering a second leather sheet to one side of the first leather sheet opposite to the rigid resin layer. A seat pad includes a first leather sheet; a second leather sheet adhered to the first leather sheet; and a rigid resin layer of a thermoplastic material bonded to the first leather sheet.

Each of the supporting members includes a front end portion extending into the retaining recess unit, an intermediate portion generally round in shape and extending from the front end portion toward the rear end of the seat body, a bent portion bent from the intermediate portion and having a cross-section varied from a generally round shape to a flat shape, and a rear end portion extending from the bent portion and generally flat in shape.

The rigid cover is formed of a plastic material, and is molded over the woven structure. The plastic material penetrates the woven structure. The rigid cover has a top wall and a skirt member projecting from a periphery of the top wall.

Abstract: A method for making a bicycle seat includes the steps of: preparing a seat base made of a rigid plastic material; forming a foamed seat body from EVA copolymer; and installing the foamed seat body on the seat base. The seat base includes a top face, a bottom face, and a peripheral edge interconnecting peripheral ends of the top and bottom faces. The foamed seat body includes a seat portion having a bottom face corresponding to the top face of the seat base and a top face opposite to the bottom face of the seat portion of the seat body, and a lip portion extending around the seat portion of the seat body. The lip portion of the seat body embraces the peripheral edge of the seat base after installing the foamed seat body on the seat base.
