The hydrous kaolin, acicular material, and polymer may be combined to form the polymer composite composition. A method of reducing acicular material in a polymer composite composition including the acicular material and a polymer while maintaining a flexural modulus of an article including the polymer composite composition, may include substituting hydrous kaolin for at least a portion of the acicular material in the polymer composite composition.
