  • Publication number: 20190295148
Abstract: Techniques for using sensor data from an auto replenishment device (ARD) to generate recommendations for ordering other items not associated with an ARD, updating a quantity of an already ordered item, or updating a time period associated with delivery of the ordered items. In embodiments, order history information associated with a user profile for a plurality of items may be maintained. Consumption data from a sensor of an ARD may be received that indicates a current amount of the item. A subset of items may be determined based at least in part on the consumption data and the order history information. In accordance with at least one embodiment, instructions for delivering the subset of items to a location associated with the user profile may be executed.

  • Patent number: 9488141
Abstract: A fuel system 10 includes a fuel tank 11, a demand valve 12, a primer pump 13, and an internal combustion engine 14. The demand valve 12 closes and prevents fuel flow to the engine and potential fuel spillage when the engine is not running, even if a positive pressure condition exists in the fuel tank 11. The demand valve 12 is opened to allow fuel flow to the engine 14 only when the engine is to be started or is running. This opening of the demand valve is caused by a vacuum in a central cavity 31 of the demand valve 12. The vacuum causes a diaphragm 43 to move laterally and act through a connector 44 against a pin 39 connected to a valve member 37, to tilt or rotate the valve member 37 relative to a valve seat 34.

  • Publication number: 20140353183
Abstract: A container is described for holding and dispensing chilled fluids for consumption by a user. The container may include a temperature indicating device configured to indicate whether a current temperature of liquid is at or below a first temperature value. The container may include a plurality of gradations configured to indicate a plurality of liquid levels in the enclosed chamber. Each pair of the plurality of liquid level gradations may have a corresponding volume. A plurality of caloric indicia may be displayed in conjunction with the plurality of gradations. Each caloric indicia may display a caloric energy value corresponding to heating one or more of the volumes of aqueous liquid from the first temperature value to a second temperature value. The container may be included in a kit with instructions directing a user in operation of the container, for example, as part of a diet or regimen of physical fitness.

  • Patent number: 8476574
Abstract: A method for improving the analysis of spectral data wherein light is directed through a linearly variable bandpass filter to impinge on a linear array of photodetectors. The ratio of the passband captured by a target detector to the passband captured by adjacent detectors is determined and used to calculate the amount of light to add back to the amount reported by the target detector. The value of the stored information from each target detector is then adjusted by subtracting from that detector what was added to adjacent detectors.
