  • Patent number: 7749424
Abstract: A method of making a fenestration framing member includes providing a core of desired cross section and geometry lengthwise of the core. A fiberglass mat is placed around the core to form a fiberglass-enclosed core, and resin is vacuum infused into the mat to form a fenestration framing member that includes fiberglass-reinforced resin enclosing the core. The starting core and the final fenestration framing member preferably are of curved geometry lengthwise of the core and member. The step of vacuum infusing resin into the mat surrounding the core preferably is carried out by placing the fiberglass-enclosed core into a vacuum enclosure, preferably a vacuum bag, and connecting the vacuum enclosure to a vacuum source and a resin source.

  • Publication number: 20100059055
Abstract: A gas delivery system that includes a housing and a flow generator that includes a blower assembly and an isolation assembly for coupling the flow generator to the housing. The isolation assembly includes at least one elastomeric isolation member having first and second portions, and the blower assembly is coupled to the isolation assembly through the at least one elastomeric isolation member. The first portion is able to shear in a first direction and the second portion is able to shear in a second direction generally perpendicular to the first direction to permit the blower assembly to move relative to the housing in three dimensions. Also, a gas delivery system that includes a housing and a flow generator provided within the housing, wherein the gas delivery system generates no more than about 30 or 35 dB(A) of noise regardless of the physical orientation of the housing.

  • Patent number: 7310916
Abstract: A wave shim and a method of shimming two elements is provided. The method includes inserting between two elements, at least one wave shim, which is a wave-shaped compressible body with a slot subdividing a portion of the body at the end into a pair of wave-shaped extending arms, and a tab attached to the body at a side opposite the wave-shaped extending arms. The shim has an area of reduced body material at a junction point between the tab and the body so that the tab can be broken off, and at least one area of reduced body material exists at corresponding locations along each of the wave-shaped extending arms so that the length of the arms can be reduced. The tab and arms define through-holes and grooves, which can be used in conjunction with a guide-line to align several elements.

  • Patent number: 6695150
Abstract: A support unit is provided that can be stacked with a similar, second support unit and that permits stacking of different electronic components. The support unit has a vertical outer panel which has a lower horizontal edge. An inner panel is connected to the outer panel and includes first and second horizontal contact planes. The first contact plane abuts a bottom wall of a first one of a pair of stacked items. A flange extends from the inner panel. The flange has a top surface offset from the first and second horizontal contact planes by an equal distance. The flange mates with a substantially identical flange of a second, similar support unit such that the top surface of the flange abuts with a substantially identical top surface of the substantially identical flange, and the first contact plane is coplanar with the second contact plane of the similar, second support unit.

  • Publication number: 20030085190
Abstract: A support unit includes an outer panel intended to lie in a vertical plane when in use, the outer panel having a straight, horizontal lower edge. The support unit further includes an inner panel extending generally at right angles to the outer panel and connected thereto along a portion of the lower edge of the outer panel which is adjacent one end of that edge. The inner panel has structure defining a first horizontal contact plane on the upper side of the inner panel, and a second horizontal contact plane on the lower side of the inner panel. These two planes are substantially parallel. The preferred embodiment further includes a flange adjacent the mid-region of the outer panel and extending generally parallel with the two contact planes. In the preferred embodiment, the flange is flat and has a top surface which contains a hypothetical line extending at right angles to the outer panel.

  • Patent number: 6351535
Abstract: A telephone set includes a telephone component and a base component supporting the telephone component at a plurality of angles. The two components have nested curved portions allowing mutual angulation while maintaining the nested relation, thus allowing the telephone component to swing through a range of angulation with respect to the base component. The set includes a retention device for maintaining the portions in nested relationship, and a locking device for releasably securing the two components in any one of the plurality of mutual angulations.
