  • Publication number: 20240041686
Abstract: A device for automatically releasing cremated ashes, including a chamber for containing cremated ashes; and a release mechanism configured to selectively release cremated ashes contained in the chamber to the external environment. The release mechanism includes an annular outer member, and an inner member at least partially radially inward of the outer member. The outer member includes an outlet from the chamber. The release mechanism is configured to translate the inner member and the outer member relative to each other along a common longitudinal axis from a first relative position, in which release of cremated ashes in the chamber through the outlet is inhibited, to a second relative position, in which release of cremated ashes in the chamber through the outlet is enabled. In the first relative position, the inner member is in contact with the outer member so as to cover the outlet. In the second relative position, the inner member is spaced from the outer member.

  • Publication number: 20220208301
Abstract: According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a computer-implemented method of predicting a binding affinity value of a query binder molecule to a query target molecule, the query binder molecule having a first amino acid sequence and the query target molecule having a second amino acid sequence, the method comprising: encoding the first and second amino acid sequences together as a plurality of data elements to generate an encoded pair of amino acids, each data element of the encoded pair representing which amino acids from the first and second amino acid sequences are paired at a respective contact point between the first amino acid sequence and the second amino acid sequence to form a contact point pair, wherein a contact point pair is a pairing of amino acids from a binder molecule and a target molecule which are proximal to one another to influence binding; and, applying a machine learning or statistical model to the encoded pair of amino acids to predict a binding affinity value

  • Publication number: 20040019697
Abstract: A method for identifying correct uniform resource locators from incorrectly spelled uniform resource locators using closest alphabetical match technique includes the steps of typing a uniform resource locator address into a web browser, querying, with the browser, a domain name server for a corresponding web page, receiving an invalid response with the web browser, requesting, through the web browser, the domain name server to perform a closest alphabetical match search to find an entry/name in a DNS table alphabetically closest to the typed-in URL address and to provide back to the browser that address and a range of immediately surrounding addresses, and displaying results of the closest alphabetical match search with the browser. A computer readable storage medium containing program instructions for performing the method and a system for identifying the correct URLs is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5371783
Abstract: A digital cordless telephone apparatus comprising a microprocessor based battery powered portable handset unit and a microprocessor based stationary base unit which each transmit and receive digital voice data and digital command data to and from one another over multiple RF channel frequencies in the 902-928 MHz band, is disclosed. The user's voice is digitized, scrambled and modulated for transmission and upon reception, the modulated digital voice data signal is demodulated, descrambled and decoded. A command data--voice data interface inserts command data packets into the stream of digital voice data prior to transmission and locates and captures command data packets from the incoming stream of received digital data. A silence sequence replaces the captured command data packet such that no audible sound is heard by the user.
