  • Patent number: 10440504
Abstract: Systems and methods of inspecting a wind turbine system are provided. In particular, a user device located proximate a wind turbine can obtain location data and component data associated with one or more components of the wind turbine. The component data can be associated with the location data. Maintenance data can then be determined based at least in part on the location data and the component data. The maintenance data can be associated with one or more repair procedures for the one or more components. The maintenance data can then be provided for display by the user device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 16, 2015
Date of Patent: October 8, 2019
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Raymond Francis Rose, Jr., Neils Chris Schmitt, Quinn Schneller
  • Patent number: 9822762
Abstract: The present subject matter is directed to a system and method for operating a wind turbine. The method includes determining an actual operating time for one or more wind turbine components at multiple power levels; determining a corresponding wind condition for each of the operating times at each power level; estimating a loading condition acting on the one or more wind turbine components at the multiple power levels and the corresponding wind conditions; estimating an accumulated fatigue life consumption of the one or more wind turbine components based at least partially on the operating times and the estimated loading conditions; and, operating the wind turbine based on the accumulated fatigue life consumption.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 12, 2013
Date of Patent: November 21, 2017
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Henk-Jan Kooijman, Neils Chris Schmitt, Kapil Dagg

  • Patent number: 4300521
Abstract: A compound bow, including a center handle portion, upper and lower limbs having inner ends connected to the center portion and free outer ends. Upper and lower draw pulleys are eccentrically mounted respectively on axles mounted on the free outer ends of the upper and lower limbs with a first draw cable having one end positioned adjacent the lower draw pulley and extending across the bow and with the other end of the first draw cable extending around the upper draw pulley. A free end of the first draw cable extends tangentially from the outer surface of the upper pulley. A second draw cable has one end positioned adjacent the upper draw pulley and extends across the bow and with the other end of the second draw cable extends around the lower draw pulley and having a free end extending tangentially from the outer surface of the lower pulley. A bowstring interconnects the free ends of the first and second draw cables.
