Abstract: Devices and methods for operating a diaphragm compressor. Embodiments of the present disclosure comprise an oil piston being driven to pressurize work oil against the diaphragm of the compressor. In embodiments, an injection pump provides a supplemental flow of work oil in the region of pressurized fluid, and such pump may be part of an actively controlled system. In embodiments, a pressure relief valve vents an overpump flow of work oil, and such valve may be variable. Embodiments provide feedback and control mechanisms, including control of the injection pump and the relief valve.

  • Patent number: 10944278
Abstract: A battery system with a large-format Li-ion battery powers attached equipment by discharging battery cells distributed among a plurality of battery packs. The discharging of the battery cells is controlled in an efficient manner while preserving the expected life of the Li-ion battery cells. Each battery pack internally supports a battery management system and may have identical components, thus supporting an architecture that easily scales to higher power/energy. Battery packs may be added or removed without intervention with a user, where one of battery packs serves as a master battery pack and the remaining battery packs serve as slave battery packs. When the master battery pack is removed, one of the slave battery packs becomes the master battery pack. Charging and discharging of the battery cells is coordinated by the master battery pack with the slave battery packs over a communication channel such as a controller area network (CAN) bus.

  • Patent number: 10799007
Abstract: A container for dispensing a cosmetic product includes a first container member and a second container member shaped and dimensioned for coupling together so as to define a cavity therebetween for storing the cosmetic product. A molding capsule is positioned within the cavity between the first container member and the second container member. The molding capsule includes a base structure coupled to the interior surface of the first container member, the base structure having an aperture through which the cosmetic product is fed. The molding capsule also including a forming cup coupled to the interior surface of the second container member, the forming cup having an interior surface which defines the shape of a cosmetic product. The base structure and the forming cup define a molding cavity in which the cosmetic product is stored.

  • Patent number: 9924776
Abstract: A container for dispensing a cosmetic product includes a first container member and a second container member shaped and dimensioned for coupling together so as to define a cavity therebetween for storing a cosmetic product. The first container member includes an exterior surface and an interior surface. The first container member further includes an apex having an aperture formed therein and an open end opposite the apex, the open end defining a circumferential free edge that is opposite the aperture. A plurality of ribs radially extend from the interior surface of the first container member toward a central axis running through a center of the aperture such that the plurality of ribs define an elongated passageway extending on the central axis. Each of the plurality of ribs includes an edge attached to the interior surface, a free edge and a supporting edge shaped and dimensioned for supporting cosmetic product above the supporting edge after cosmetic product is gravity fed through the passageway.

  • Patent number: 9851407
Abstract: The invention relates to a power management system for supplying backup DC power to peak and/or high current demand battery applications, such as motor starting or an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) used to power a critical load, such as, a data bus or other critical load, after an event, such as loss of primary AC or DC input, during relatively cold ambient temperatures. Two or more heaters can be provided; for example, a low power heater and a high-power heater. In a maintenance mode, the low power heater is used to maintain batteries at a predetermined temperature. In this mode, a battery charger is used to power the low power heater. In a boost mode, after the primary AC or DC input is restored, and battery temperature is too low to back up the critical load, the battery charger supplies power to one or both of the heaters.

  • Patent number: 9654339
Abstract: A communication protocol specification is divided into subsets of parameters based on patterns established by equipment vendors. A combination of subsets is selected based on parameters and features supported by particular network devices installed in a network. A user interface facilitates convenient creation or modification of a configuration file, which instructs a network device how to format a communication message and what information is to be contained therein. After the configuration file is loaded into a device, it controls software switches in the device such that features and parameters corresponding to the parameters selected with the user interface and controlled by the switches are either enabled or disable based on the parameters selected. Supported parameter combinations for popular equipment may be prestored so that selection with the interface of a particular piece of equipment automatically edits the configuration file according to the features and parameters supported by said equipment.
