  • Patent number: 6488151
Abstract: A wrench socket rack is formed of an elongated support defining a track with a pair of bearing surfaces overhanging the track from opposite sides. A plurality of socket pegs are provided. Each peg has a base with laterally projecting lugs that fit into the track. Each socket peg is sized to receive a wrench socket thereon. A bore with internal threads is defined from top to bottom in each of the socket pegs. A track-engaging clamp formed as a set screw that is threadably engaged in the socket peg at the bottom end of the bore. A hollow spring clamping screw is threadably engaged in the top end of the bore. The track-engaging set screw may be manipulated using a tool that is inserted through the cylindrical opening in the spring clamping screw.

  • Patent number: 6168018
Abstract: An adjustable rack for socket wrench sockets has an elongated mounting strip and a plurality of socket mounts that are removably coupled to the mounting strip. A longitudinally extending track having overhanging bearing ledges is defined in the mounting strip. Each socket mount has a base with a configuration that conforms to the configuration of the track in the mounting strip. The bases of the socket mounts may be inserted into the track of the mounting strip from either of the open ends of the track. The socket mounts are moved longitudinally along the mounting strip to selected positions which are spaced apart an appropriate distance to accommodate the thickness of the walls of the sockets placed atop the socket mounts. The socket mounts are thereupon tightened relative to the mounting strip. Each socket mount has an internally tapped bore extending through its structure from top to bottom.

  • Patent number: 5946774
Abstract: A hidden hinge mechanism is provided for mounting a door to a jamb in a door frame. The hinge mechanism may be formed of one or more pairs of body elements, sleeves, and a slide element. The body elements are formed as cylindrical barrels with arcuate cavities defined therewithin. These cavities have a circular curvature centered on a vertical axis of rotation that lies beyond the door and frame. The sleeve elements are hollow and also formed as arcuate structures that are mounted to move within the cavities in the cylindrical body elements in reciprocal fashion relative thereto. The sleeves move between closed positions retracted completely into the body elements and extended positions projecting therefrom. The arcuate slide has opposing ends that are respectively mounted to the sleeve elements in telescoping fashion. The slide moves between an extreme open position withdrawn from the sleeves and an extreme closed position encapsulated within them.
