  • Patent number: 11978047
Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, instructions, and other implementations are described for network data management. One embodiment involves request data received at a device associated with a digital lockbox, where the request data includes identifying information for an originating device associated with a location and is associated with a user device. A unique token is generated with the identifying information. The unique token can be used to tokenize a network link to create a secure one-time link. The system transmits the one-time link, which can then be used to facilitate secure communications between a computing system associated with the originating device and the user device.

  • Patent number: 11502607
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to providing an integrated circuit package having (a) a bypass circuit in parallel with an inductor and (b) a logic circuit configured to control the bypass circuit for conductivity modulation. In an illustrative example, in response to a corresponding load transient, the logic circuit may include a state machine configured to generate different control signals for the bypass circuit to control the timing and/or quantity of energy transfer from the inductor to a load. The bypass circuit may include a first semiconductor switch and a second semiconductor switch connected in anti-series. In some implementations, the power stage and the bypass circuit may be operated, for example, in numerous operational modes to dynamically modulate conductivity across the terminals of the inductor in a power supply to advantageously result in a smaller undershoot and overshoot.

  • Patent number: 9917514
Abstract: A switched power converter includes a power stage for generating an output voltage according to a switching signal and an input voltage via a switching element. The switching signal is generated by a variable timing generator which is controlled by a compensator. The pulses of the switching signal are generated on a “need to have basis”. Hence, theses pulses may be generated independently of a PWM period. The pulses can be generated such that switching losses are minimized. A switching pattern can be matched to the load current pattern. Thus, the behavior of the compensator can be synchronized to a regular pattern of the load current. A high resolution variable timing generator may be employed.

  • Patent number: 9882474
Abstract: A switched power converter includes a switchable power stage for generating an output voltage according to a switching signal and an input voltage via a switching element. The switching signal is generated by a multi-mode controller. The multi-mode controller controls a digital control path for generating a pulse width modulation switching signal and a constant-on-time control path for generating a constant-on-time switching signal. The switching signal for controlling the switching element is generated in the digital control path when the multi-mode controller is run in a high load mode. The switching signal is generated in the constant-on-time control path when the multi-mode controller is run in a light load mode.

  • Patent number: 9882475
Abstract: A switchable power converter includes a switchable power stage comprising an inductor and a capacitor for generating an output voltage according to a switching signal and an input voltage via a switching element comprising a high-side switch and a low-side switch driven by a driver according to the switching signal generated either in a digital control path or a constant-on-time control path. A multi-mode controller is configured to toggle between a light load mode in which the constant-on-time control path is activated and a high load mode in which the digital control path is activated. The multi-mode controller is further configured to generate a control signal for turning on the high-side switch for an additional time when transitioning from the light load mode to the high load mode.

  • Publication number: 20170310217
Abstract: A multi-phase power converter comprising a plurality of phases for generating an output voltage according to a switching signal and an input voltage, each phase of the plurality of phases comprising a switching element and inductance; wherein the plurality of phases is connected to a common star point, wherein an output capacitor is connected to the common star point. The phases of the multi-phase power converter are not identical in terms of their inductance. Therefore, at least one phase may be optimized for a low current such that, in low power operation, said at least one phase is optimal for lower current levels.

  • Publication number: 20170302183
Abstract: The present invention relates to a switchable power converter comprising a switchable power stage for generating an output voltage according to a switching signal and an input voltage by means of a switching element comprising a high-side switch and a low-side switch. In a light load mode, the controller is configured to disable, i.e. turn off, the low-side switch and to generate the switching signal to partially turn on the high-side switch during an on-time of the switching signal. Partially turning on the high-side switch is achieved by operating the high-side switch in its linear region.

  • Publication number: 20160248324
Abstract: A control method is provided for a power converter comprising a switched power stage configured to generate an output voltage from an input voltage according to a pulsed control signal controlling switching of the switched power stage in dependence of a voltage error signal. The voltage error signal is a difference between a reference voltage and the output voltage. The method includes generating a cyclic ramp signal and generating the pulsed control signal by triggering a pulse of the pulsed control signal when a ramp of the cyclic ramp signal intersects the voltage error signal to control a pulse position. The control method provides a pulse translation technique to control charge and the inductor current in a cycle. In contrast to a modulation technique based on compensation that adjusts the duty cycle of the PWM control signal, a pulse of a nominally unaltered pulse width is just translated in time.

  • Publication number: 20160241147
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a power stage of a power converter configured to generate an output voltage from an input voltage according to a control law controlling a switchable power stage. The method includes generating a pulsed control signal for switching the power stage and translating the pulsed control signal in phase relative to a constant frequency clock signal. The pulse is translated forward to increase charge in a cycle. The pulse is translated backward to decrease charge in a cycle. Thus, this method of charge control does not require compensation.

  • Publication number: 20160226265
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a power stage of a power converter configured to generate an output voltage from an input voltage according to a control law controlling a switchable power stage. The method comprises generating a pulsed control signal for switching the power stage by varying a pulse width of the pulsed control signal so that a square of the pulse width is a function of a voltage error control signal derived from a difference between a reference voltage and the output voltage. This is a predictive method of charge mode control. The method is for a modulation scheme that does not require compensation for the discontinuous conduction mode.
