  • Patent number: 7534032
Abstract: A sensor assembly is disclosed for determining the temperature state in an area of a heating surface heated by a heat source and disposed between the heat source and the heating surface in parallel relationship to the heating surface. The sensor assembly includes a first sensor having a carrier and a temperature-dependent resistor web which is attached to the carrier and confronts the heating surface and which is electrically contacted at a contact zone outside a temperature-measuring zone, and a second sensor having a carrier and a temperature-dependent resistor web which is attached to the carrier and electrically contacted at a contact zone outside the temperature-measuring zone and which confronts the heat source.

Date of Patent: May 19, 2009
    Assignee: Electrovac AG
    Inventors: Josef Reithofer, Christian Auradnik
  • Patent number: 7446286
Abstract: A heater strip for use as a heating element in an electric heater is made up of a profiled strip made of a flat metallic material forming a resistor section and of mounting elements extending over one common longitudinal side and they are manufactured as one piece with the resistor section for mounting the heater strip to a support. The strip has a zigzag-shaped structure. The mounting elements are provided only on the flat leg sections of the zigzag-shaped heater strip.

Date of Patent: November 4, 2008
    Assignee: Electrovac AG
    Inventors: Josef Reithofer, Christian Auradnik
  • Patent number: 7345572
Abstract: A temperature sensor for a radiant heating element includes a first expansion element, e.g., a tube, connected to a housing of a switch, which is permanently connected to a second expansion element, e.g., a rod in the region of its free end. The two expansion elements have different thermal expansion coefficients, and the switch has at least one contact spring, which is pre-tensioned against a point and carries a contact. The contact spring is implemented as a snap spring. The first expansion element has a spring acting in its axial direction applied to it. To avoid rapid fatigue of the contact spring, the second expansion element acts on the contact spring on one side and the spring acting in the axial direction of the second expansion element acts on the contact spring on the other side, with the spring acting against the second expansion element via a support.
