  • Publication number: 20240176046
Abstract: A system and method designed to assess the future socio-economic impacts of weather events relative to variable climatic conditions is described. The techniques described include a complex data aggregation process pulling data from a heterogeneous set of sources and formats. The aggregation is followed by translating, pruning and pre-processing image data. A neural network is then trained on the pre-processed image data. The trained neural network is then designed to provide an output relative to a prompt, including estimations of economic impacts of peril severity and frequency; estimations on impact of future settlement, and probabilistic layers of future climate events.

  • Patent number: 11929089
Abstract: An apparatus for processing a multichannel audio signal has a plurality of channel signals. The apparatus performs a time scale modulation of the multichannel audio signal and has a phase adaptor and a separator. The phase adaptor provides a processed signal by modifying a phase of a signal based on a combination of the channel signals. The separator provides separated signals based on the processed signal. A corresponding method is provided.

  • Patent number: 6799096
Abstract: A method for power optimization in a vehicle/train, using time reserves which are included when planning a schedule, is proposed. In order to achieve a power-saving travel mode with the aid of an optimization algorithm, the presence of a number of completely or partially autonomous drive systems is taken into account, the separate functions of efficiency or power loss of each drive system being taken into consideration.

  • Patent number: 6668217
Abstract: A method for power optimization in a vehicle/train is proposed, using time reserves which are included when planning a schedule, an overall route to be traveled between a starting stop and a destination stop being subdivided into a number of steps. In order to achieve a power-saving travel mode, with the aid of an optimization algorithm, the kinetic energy of the vehicle and the time are used as state variables in a vehicle model. The changes in the state variables are considered with respect to the distance in each step.

  • Patent number: 6538412
Abstract: To minimize the energy required for operation of a rail vehicle, in a drive system that has an intermediate circuit converter 1 and a three-phase motor 7 fed by it, the intermediate circuit voltage in the intermediate circuit 12 and/or the magnetic flux in the drive motor 7 are optimized to correspond to the actual operating requirements, including, if necessary, the energy expenditure for the auxiliaries 9 that are provided to cool the components.
