Abstract: A method may include obtaining, at a device, a first input that results in audio playback of a first stored message and establishing a network connection between the device and a remote transcription system. The method may include directing audio of the first stored message to the remote transcription system and obtaining transcriptions of the audio from the remote transcription system during playback of the first stored message. The method may include maintaining the network connection after playback of the first stored message and obtaining a second input that results in audio playback of a second stored message. The method may include directing audio of the second stored message to the remote transcription system and obtaining transcriptions of the audio from the remote transcription system during playback of the second stored message. The method may include obtaining an indication to terminate the network connection and terminating the network connection.

Abstract: A method to adjust audio amplification may include presenting an audio configuration interface. The audio configuration interface may include multiple amplification settings that each correspond to a different one of multiple frequency range. The multiple amplification settings indicating amplifications may be applied to the multiple frequencies of audio output by a device. The method may further include obtaining an action to adjust the amplification of one or more of multiple amplification settings in the audio configuration interface to generate adjusted amplification settings. The method also includes, in response to obtaining the action, automatically applying the adjusted amplification settings to test audio and automatically outputting the test audio with the applied adjusted amplification settings through a speaker of the device.

Abstract: A method to adjust a phone number is provided. The method may include receiving a first phone call at a telephonic device and obtaining a phone number from the first phone call. In some embodiments, the phone number may identify an origin of the first phone call. The method may further include prepending a digit to the phone number and storing the phone number with the prepended digit in a memory in the telephonic device. In some embodiments, the method may further include using the stored phone number to initiate automatic placement of the second phone call.
