  • Patent number: 4203474
Abstract: The invention relates to a ferrule inserted in a tube end in view of protecting from impacts the annular edge of said end, said ferrule 4 being extended by a radially outwardly turned back flange 5 covering said edge. Said flange is itself extended from its periphery 7 by a second flange 6 turned back in the same direction as the first flange so as to extend towards the axis of the ferrule.

  • Patent number: 4118855
Abstract: Two planar members or two members having planar parts are interconnected using one or more assembly tubes which extend between the two members in an aperture in each member and are normal to a planar part of each member. Each end of the assembly tube is clamped against the respective external face of each member thereby providing the interconnection. A bracer tube encircles each assembly tube between the respective planar parts. As a result an assembly is obtained in which planar parts of the members are in parallel spaced apart relationship with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 4117704
Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing a bent angle piece from a sheet-metal. The sheet-metal is shaped into a cylinder 1 split along a generating line so that the ends of the sheet-metal can be overlapping, a portion of the said cylinder is clamped on a support such as a mandrel 3 moving in rotation about the axis of the said cylinder, and during the rotation of the said support, successive areas adjacent the unclamped portion 1b of the sheet-metal cylinder are bent progressively either outwardly or inwardly until said unclamped portion reaches a position which is at least nearly perpendicular to the axis 3a of the cylindrical portion so as to form an annular flange joined to the cylindrical flange constituted by the portion of cylindrical flange clamped on the support.
