Abstract: A media diary application implemented in a digital communication device. The media diary combines the benefit of an electronic calendar planner with a digital media file manager that organizes media by timeframe. The media diary provides for a calendar view of calendared events and reminders and a media view of media items associated with a past calendared event or date. The media diary may also provide for a timeline view that combines both the calendar view and media view into a composite view that incorporates a timeline. In an alternate embodiment, the media diary may be defined by a media view in combination with a time line view.

Abstract: According to the invention, speech recognition can be limited to a smaller number making use of commands (16, 17) given by a user. By means of a method and device, according to the invention, it is also possible to activate a speech recognition device by making use, in the activation, of an existing keyboard or a touch-sensitive screen of the device. A method, according to the invention, provides the user with a logical way to activate the speech recognition device in the device simultaneously providing an improved capacity of the speech recognition device. According to the invention, it is also possible to carry out the speech recognition process by making use of commands given by the user irrespective of how the speech recognition device itself is activated.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for scaling an option list of an application on an application user interface of a mobile terminal device. The option list includes options chosen from a given set. According to the invention the size of the application on the interface is detected, the number of options included in the option list is determined according to the detected size, and the option list within the application is displayed. A computer program is provided for performing these functions. Also a mobile terminal device is provided for supporting application user interfaces of different resolution and/or size by using an application on the application user interface, which includes an option list scaled according to these functions.

Abstract: A phone is provided with a set of keys and a controller which monitors the status of the phone. The set of keys comprises a call handling key for establishing and terminating a call. The functionality of the call handling key is controlled by the controller in dependence on the status of the phone, and said set of keys comprises a key for rejecting an incoming call.
