  • Publication number: 20230236659
Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for providing a delivery assistance service having an augmented-reality digital companion (ARDC). In an example method, a first set of instructions can be received via the ARDC. The first set of instructions can direct a delivery driver to an assigned delivery vehicle within a parking lot. A second set of instructions including a driving destination can be received via the ARDC. When the delivery driver has reached the driving destination, a third set of instructions can be received via the ARDC. The third set of instructions can include a route from the driving destination to a delivery location. When the delivery driver is traveling along the route, first pop-up information can be provided via the ARDC. The delivery request can be completed, and second pop-up information can be provided via the ARDC to assist the delivery driver in reaching an intended destination.

  • Publication number: 20230052297
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for providing a software sensor in a vehicle. In an example embodiment, a determination is made regarding the availability of a feature upgrade to a vehicle and a request may be made (to a cloud computer, for example), for obtaining the feature upgrade. The cloud computer provides an emulation software module based on emulating a first sensor that is unavailable in the vehicle. The feature upgrade may be installed in the vehicle by executing the emulation software module and by use of a second sensor that is available in the vehicle. In an example implementation, the second sensor available in the vehicle is a type of hardware sensor such as, for example, a camera, and the first sensor that is emulated is a different type of hardware sensor such as, for example, an air quality sensor.

  • Publication number: 20210090023
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for computing an optimized delivery route for a delivery vehicle based on package information. Example methods may include receiving a plurality of delivery fulfillment requests from at least one client platform, each delivery fulfillment request including a delivery location, selecting a set of requests from the received delivery fulfillment requests, each request within the set including a delivery location within a same geographical region, assigning the selected set of requests to a delivery vehicle based on capacity information for the delivery vehicle and package information for each package which is to be delivered by the delivery vehicle, computing a preliminary delivery route for the delivery vehicle based on the delivery locations of the delivery fulfillment requests within the selected set, computing an optimized delivery route for the preliminary delivery route based on the package information, and dispatching the optimized delivery route to the delivery vehicle.
