  • Patent number: 11524665
Abstract: A method for initializing an electronically slip-controllable power braking system after a startup and an electronically slip-controllable power braking system. Power braking systems are equipped with a pressure generator for conveying pressure medium in a pressure medium circuit. The pressure generator includes a plunger unit made up of a plunger cylinder, a plunger piston, and a plunger work chamber enclosed by plunger cylinder and plunger piston. A characteristic, using which an actuation of the plunger piston is carried out by the motor during the initialization of the power braking system, is selected by the electronic control unit as a function of a piece of information present about the position of plunger piston at the start of the initialization and implemented by corresponding electronic activation of the motor.

  • Patent number: 11485334
Abstract: A method and system for braking a vehicle using supplemental deceleration provided by an electronic parking brake. The method includes detecting a reduced function state of an integrated braking system; detecting a brake pedal input from an operator of the vehicle; and automatically generating a braking force via the electronic parking brake based on the brake pedal input and the reduced function state.

  • Patent number: 11404862
Abstract: A method is described for operating an electrical system, in particular, of a motor vehicle, which includes at least one electrical consumer, at least one energy source for electrical energy, and at least one control unit, the consumer being test activated by the control unit for the purpose of initializing a start of the system and a voltage level of an electrical voltage in the system being monitored and compared to a predefinable minimum value, and the activation being interrupted if the voltage level falls below the minimum value, and the consumer being subsequently test reactivated. It is provided that the number of the interruptions is counted and the consumer is deactivated at least for a predefinable period of time upon reaching a predefinable maximum number.

  • Patent number: 11186291
Abstract: A method for operating a brake system of a motor vehicle includes actuating a first actuating device of the brake system, exerting an electromechanical braking force to decelerate the motor vehicle in an event of a fault in the hydraulic braking device and when the first actuating device is actuated, and generating the electromechanical braking force after a start of the actuation of the first actuating device for a minimum generation period and/or generating the electromechanical braking force after an end of the actuation of the first actuating device for an additional continued generation period. The brake system includes a hydraulic braking device, an electromechanical braking device, and a first actuating device, in particular a brake pedal.

  • Patent number: 11059466
Abstract: A method for operating a brake system of a motor vehicle includes actuating at least one of a first actuation device and a second actuation device of the brake system, and, in the event of a fault in a hydraulic brake device of the brake system, producing an electromechanical braking force via an electromechanical brake device of the brake system for decelerating the motor vehicle, irrespective of which of the first actuation device and the second actuation device is actuated.
