  • Patent number: 11922330
Abstract: An apparatus for estimating a physical state of a movable object includes a processor receiving or determining a probability mass function including probabilities for each of a first group of at least two movement classes, wherein the movement models of the first group being determined using sensor data from the inertial measurement unit. The processor receives at least one additional probability mass function associated with a second group of at least two movement classes, wherein the additional probability mass function has been obtained using additional information different from the sensor data.

  • Patent number: 10907604
Abstract: An integrated starter and on-board electrical system disconnecting module for connecting to a starter battery and to an on-board electrical system by a transducer is disclosed. A method for limiting the starting current in a motor vehicle and the use of the integrated starter and on-board electrical system disconnecting module in multi-voltage on-board electrical systems, in particular during a start-stop operation of plug-in hybrid vehicles and for hybrid on-board electrical systems, are also disclosed. The transducer can be connected to a starter circuit including the starter battery from an on-board electrical system side, via a starter control device and via an on-board electrical system disconnector. The on-board electrical system can be uncoupled from the starter circuit and the starter control device and the on-board electrical system disconnector are integrated in the module.

  • Patent number: 9696179
Abstract: A product may be provided with a product sensor, thus making it possible to determine, together with the product, data relating to a system or a machine with the aid of the product sensor. The data determined can be used to diagnose and/or control the system or machine. In this case, it is advantageous that the data are obtained at the location of the product and it is thus possible to directly determine a desirable or undesirable effect (for example of environmental parameters or of the system itself) on the product. This system can be used, for example, in automation, in systems or machines or in different product manufacture variants.

  • Patent number: 9460240
Abstract: A method for evaluating component-related energy models and external specification parameters, in order, based on these, to produce a determination of a set of partial-load conditions, which are simulated based on a parameterizable simulation model of the system. A system planner is put in a position, with the specification of specification parameters, for example, a minimum throughput of the system or a maximum energy consumption, in which he can obtain a set of partial-load conditions, i.e., a partial-load condition for each of the components involved in the determination. In this way, an individual partial-load condition can be set for each component, where all the partial-load conditions fulfill the provisions of the specification parameters.

  • Patent number: 9323242
Abstract: Operating status transitions of production plants according to the PROFIEnergy standard are increasingly provided for the energy management of an individual component within a plant. The definition of an operating status change for an individual component leaves unsolved the problem as to how an operating status change of a plant having multiple components is to be effected. Thus, methods and systems that support an automatic operating status change of a plant consisting of a multiplicity of components are provided herein.

  • Patent number: 9227677
Abstract: An underbody trim for the rear-end region of a motor vehicle conceals a rear exhaust muffler. For the purposes of cooling the rear exhaust muffler, an air inlet is provided in the underbody trim. The air inlet is arranged in a region in which, while the motor vehicle is traveling, a pressure is higher at the underside of the underbody trim than the region of the floor panel arranged thereabove. Cooling ambient air is thus conducted into the region of the rear exhaust muffler with low flow losses.
