    Abstract: A system and method for registration of a remote security camera is described. The system and method include receiving at a default server a message from the security camera upon initial boot up of the security camera, receiving at the default server a message from a customer server, the message requesting that the security camera be registered to a customer. Where the default server sends to the customer server reconfiguration information the reconfiguration information instructing the security camera to connect to the customer server.
