Abstract: The present invention describes a fragrance delivery system which releases fragrant alcohols upon exposure to light. Said system comprises 2-benzoyl benzoates of general formulae which can comprise various subtituents R1-R5 as defined in the application and a substituted R* which is the organic part of a fragrant alcohol. In a further embodiment, the present invention describes a fragrance delivery system which releases fragrant aldehydes or ketones and/or fragrant compounds containing an olefin function.

Abstract: The present invention relates to perfumery of compounds of the general formula in which R1 and R2 are identical or different and represent each a methyl or ethyl group, R3 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group from C1 to C4, linear or branched, and R4 represents hydrogen, an alkyl group from C1 to C4, linear or branched, or an acyl group of formula R5C(O)—, R5 being hydrogen or an alkyl group from C1 to C4, linear or branched. The novel odoriferous character of these compounds is the combination of woody with fruity notes.

Abstract: A compound of formula ##STR1## wherein X represents a C.dbd.O group or a CH--OH group, in the form of an optically active isomer of formula ##STR2## wherein X has the meaning indicated above and, when X is a CH--OH group, the asymmetric carbon (2) has an R configuration, or in the form of a mixture of isomers, is very useful in the field of perfumery, having an unusual, fruity odor note that can be described as a fresh walnut odor together with a rhum type note.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use in perfumery of compounds of the general formulae ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are identical or different and represent each a methyl or ethyl group, R.sup.3 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group from C.sub.1 to C.sub.4, linear or branched, and R.sup.4 represents hydrogen, an alkyl group from C.sub.1 to C.sub.4, linear or branched, or an acyl group of formula R.sup.5 C(O)--, R.sup.5 being hydrogen or an alkyl group from C.sub.1 to C.sub.4, linear or branched. Abstract: Oxygenated decaline derivatives of formula ##STR1## wherein X represents a COOH or a CHO group are obtained according to a process which consists in the oxidation of a ketone of formula ##STR2## by means of oxygen in a basic medium constituted by potassium tert-butoxide in 1,2-dimethoxyethane.Compounds (I) are useful starting materials for the preparation of AMBROX.RTM. (registered tradename of Firmenich SA, Geneva, Switzerland) which is an ingredient in perfumes.

Abstract: Method of pouring a concrete wall panel directly in the ground, into which two concrete bars (1 and 2) are poured at an interval in such a way that the axis of the future wall will intersect their midpoint at a right angle, characterized by digging a trench extending through the bars, by positioning in the trench a reinforcement (13) with a transverse partition (9) generally along the axis of each bar, and by pouring a concrete panel in the trench between the two transverse partitions.
