  • Publication number: 20080133059
Abstract: A method for controlling a test sequence for performing an analysis of an analyte in a fluid sample includes providing a hard-coded software application adapted to process a plurality of blocks to perform the test sequence. The blocks include a wait block, a read block, and a threshold block. A test-sequence table having a plurality of attributes defined therein for each of the blocks is provided. The attributes are utilized by the software application to process the blocks. The test sequence is determined through the attributes defined within the test-sequence table.

  • Patent number: 6604050
Abstract: A system, method and biosensor apparatus are provided for data communications with a personal data assistant. The biosensor apparatus includes a sensor for receiving a user sample to be measured and a microcontroller for performing a predefined test sequence for measuring a predefined parameter value. An interface logic block is coupled to the microcontroller for communicating the predefined parameter data value to the personal data assistant. The personal data assistant provides an operator interface, data management and analysis of biosensor results.

  • Patent number: 5665215
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for marking predetermined events with a biosensor. The biosensor includes a sensor for receiving a user sample to be measured and a processor for performing a predefined test sequence for measuring a predefined parameter value. A memory is coupled to said processor for storing predefined parameter data values. A marker member is manually coupled by the user to the processor for selectively marking one of a plurality of predetermined events with a stored predefined parameter data value.
