  • Publication number: 20240166583
Abstract: Processes and apparatuses for separating chlorides from a butane product stream by removing chlorides from a portion of said feed stream in a rectification section of the separation zone. The rectification section may be in a rectification column which may be combined with a stripper column. Alternatively, a wall may be used to provide the rectification section in a fractionation column. The processes and apparatuses can be used in both new designs and revamped designs.

  • Publication number: 20240027129
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for removing elemental mercury from liquid natural gas comprising changing the stabilizer column operating conditions to beneficially transfer mercury from the stabilized condensate phase to the overhead gas phase, where it may be compressed and recycled with the gas going to the existing feed gas mercury removal units.

  • Patent number: 6903141
Abstract: A continuous process is disclosed for the production of hydrocarbon liquids and wax by Fischer-Tropsch conversion of synthesis gas in contact with promoted skeletal iron catalyst particles in a slurry reactor. Wax product is readily separated from the skeletal iron catalyst in a catalyst settling drum and concentrated catalyst particles in wax slurry are recycled from the settling drum to the slurry reactor, while essentially solid-free wax is recovered as a product.

  • Publication number: 20040049473
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention relates to methods and systems that utilize harvested data to predict results, populate predictive models, and allow decisions to be made. Internal structured data is grouped into items of interest and an event of interest is tagged. Data including unstructured and structured data is harvested, and the harvested data is analyzed to determine whether a predictive model exists between the harvested data and the selected group. A mathematical signature is computed based upon the external data in order to establish the predictive model. Thus the harvested information may be used to build, modify, or test predictive models of internal results based upon external events.
